Final Day US Open 2017 Updates

9-7 for the kid

Good move on the officiating....nobody will argue with this rack.

Isnt Jayson Shaw the guy that Earl was playing when Earl supposedly called the wrong ball in the Straight Pool tournament last year? And the referee, rightfully so, awarded the decision to Earl on that shot. And then Shaw quit.

Right?

Kaci wins 11-8 and plays Sanchez Ruiz for place in final v Shaw
Sanchez Ruiz beat Kaci 11-5 in earlier round.
Only 3 left and all are from Europe

Yes, that was the incident.

Did Chang lose?

Chang lost to Klenti, 11 to 8. Chang gets 4th place, pocketing $8,000.

Klenti now plays Sanchez-Ruez in 10 minutes. Winner of that match plays Jayson Shaw in the finals.

I haven't been watching but Klenti Kaci might be the one person I'd bet on to beat Shaw!

After making a really cool combo/carom on the 9-ball Kaci scooped up the remaining balls way before the cue ball stopped rolling yet a foul was not called.

4 Sanchez-Ruiz, 3 Kaci now.

Danny and Mark are underestimating the players' abilities a bit.
They keep getting surprised at their execution.
Well, they are very good pros.

Down 5-4, Kaci broke and made the 9 ball, but also the cue ball. Sanchez ran out to the 8 but then had a really bad miscue trying to apply low left English. Kaci made a full table back cut on the 8 and it's now 5-5.

Is that Alex Kazakis in the front row directly behind the table?

Ruiz looks like a clone of David Alcaide, which is not a bad thing. He plays as fast as Kaci does slow. In the last game he got down on the seven ball and let fly without one practice stroke and miscued. Kaci won the game to tie it up at 5 all, instead of being down 6-4. Ruiz not only lost the game, he lost his momentum as well.
