FINALLY ARRIVED!!! "Winning One Pocket" & "Shots, Moves & Strategies"

One perfect example of each book arrived in the mail today, and I have just opened the box and taken some quick looks inside them.

The books have never been opened before, except once, when the author wrote a personal note to me on the first page in each book. I also received a handwritten letter, which I haven't read yet, but will do before I write a thank-you-email to the seller.

Looking forward to dig into these big and heavy books, I have been searching for them on e-bay, amazon etc. for a looooong time.

What a perfect way to start the weekend :D

No, I only got the first two, but those should keep me occupied for months. I read slow :D
 
oh yes for sure, and many years more, but definately hit up eddie for the last book when you get up to it...he sells them on ebay or you can pm him here, or i can shoot you his email whenever you need.

I got smae two from Eddie, long live Mr. Robin, but I never considered buying the 3c book. I've heard it's the best ever published, and I could forget the fact I'm not going to play 3c but taking that into account that volume is too expensive imo. At least I got first two for a reasonable price (much lower than can be found on ebay) but 3c was overpriced perhaps. Maybe due to its instructional value or maybe it is very limited edition now and hard to find.

Haha, $ 35 wouldn't even cover my shipping costs of the books :D

Well, I've been searching for these books for so long, that when I finally got this oppurtunity I paid what I felt these books where worth.

After studying them for hours today, I am not at all dissapointed.

I'll bring these books with me to DCC and try to get them signed with some personal notes to me by Efren, Incardona, the Beard etc. These books will never be sold, I'll even bring them with me when I die ;)

You won't be disappointed in any way, Roy. In reviewing those books, I began with the single word, "MAGNIFICENT!", and my opinion has not changed one iota. GF
 
I just got a set of these from the man himself, too, and they are just awesome. The way he set up the diagrams showing angle of the cue, as well as the cuetip on the cueball are just perfect.

I thought long and hard about spending this kind of money on the set, but I would say it's probably one of the best investments in improvement I have ever made.

They are gems. It's too bad all of the contributors to Winning One Pocket are gone except Grady. He signed my copy last year. Better luck with Shots, Moves, and Strategies, most of them are still alive. I didn't think to have my copy with me the last time I saw Shannon.
