*** FINALLY Getting ready to start shipping "Strokes...System n Strategies" ***

I had a HUGE delay from the printers with the NEW booklet, "Strokes...Systems n Strategies". They didn't laminate the covers, with it being the Holiday season, they were backe logged!

Bill,

It's been 2.5 month since you made this post. Any word on when I will get my product that was paid for in September? Are they still growing the trees to make the paper from or what?

I have e-mailed you at least twice with no answer

Oh Bill...

still no replies to my e-mails or PMs. You have been on here posting almost everyday but can't find to time to answer? WTF?

Let me guess, still trouble with printers...oh wait..that was 2 months ago

Well, a month has gone by and guess what...NO BOOK!!

Bill, send the book or my refund!

Bryan; I shipped your order over 3 weeks ago, why did you wait so long to inform me of this? I shipped USPS-Media Mail on 03/26!

You choose which one you want.

Respectfully;

Good for you. You refund it because I called you out in public. Class act

You got NO class, KID! Did your feelings get hurt, that I decided NOT to send you ANOTHER copy! I'm done with you, another guy with NO life!

You're funny but unlike you, I have plenty of life left. If it does ever come in the mail, through whatever time portal you sent it, I will take pictures of it while it's burning.

I have been selling Bill Smith's books and DVDs on my site and Amazon for over 3 years and there has never been any sort of a purchase problem that we couldnt address. To jump on the forums and badmouth someone, especially a forum brother, over a piddly $23 is way over the top.

There was never a question of whether you were going to receive a book or a refund. That I can vouch for. Putting a new book on the market is often marked by unforeseen delays -- as I am experiencing myself with my book. Anybody who wants a refund from me because of the delay, knows all they have to do with me is ask. Fortunately for me, my people are a little more understanding and patient than you seem to be.

I talked to Bill, and he was more than willing to send you your refund. His only concern was the accusatory manner in which the problem was expressed in public.

I'm pretty sure the reason he had to ask for it in public was because 4 months ago Bill said he was shipping it. And after he didn't reply to any pms or emails for 3 MONTHS that was the only way he was gonna get it. If he had gotten some comunication he might have been even more patient. Maybe he should have waited a year or 2 before getting his copy?

When a person doesn't have the CORRECT facts, "what are you supposed to do"? Keep your mouth shut, I doubt if you are privy to our PM's, that's why they are PM's

Listen to what happened to me.

I held a forum contest right here on AzBilliards a few months ago and was offering a $50 first-place prize and an autographed photo for who came with the correct answers first in a thread. It was about an AzBilliards Radiu RUnout podcast with Keith and C.J. Riley.

Here's the thread: Runout Radio Episode 50: U.S. Open, C.J. Wiley, and Keith McCready.

The gentleman who won lived in upstate New York. I mailed him a check for $50 and an autographed photo and sent him a PM to alert him that it was en route.

Ten days later, he informed me via PM that he never received the package. I knew I made a mistake sending it regular postal delivery. I asked him if he could wait one more week to see if it came, and he agreed.

Another week goes by, and he PMs me to say he still has not recieved it. I then decide to send it via FedEx delivery, SIGNATURE REQUIRED, with a new check for $50 and a new autographed photo. Next day, he PM'd me to say he received the FedEx package okay. All is well. :)

Another week goes by, and I get PM from the same guy informing me that the package I originally sent with the first $50 check and photo had just arrived. I told him to destory the first check and he could keep the second picture. :p

Now, you'd think this would be a lesson learned for me, but, no, due to time constraints, deadlining on my job, racing against the clock, I mistakenly did the same thing with my 4Q 2012 estimated tax payment, sending it regular mail.

Towards the end of January, I noticed in my checking account that the check for 4Q estimated taxes was not cashed yet by the IRS. It was a big chunk of change. I called the IRS and spoke to a nice lady who said that she looked in several places and doesn't show it anywhere in process or that they received it. I'm thinking, AGAIN, my check is lost in the frigging mail?

Visions of tax penalities started dancing in my head. Why didn't I learn my lesson about the regular postal mail delivery for something this important! :frown:

She told me that if I could get to my local IRS and pay it before January 31st, I could avoid a larger penalty. The very next day, January 31st, I drove to my local IRS building, got there right when it opened up at 8:30 a.m. There was already a line going out of the building. Plus, no parking. I had to park six or seven blocks away. I waited in what seemed like a cheese line, waiting for a government handout.

Two hours later, they called my number, I paid the amount for 4Q 2012 estimated taxes, walked back to my car, drove home, and felt content.

About 2 months later, on March 22, I'm overdrawn. My checking account is upside-down. Seems like the original check mysterious arrived at the IRS, over 2 months after I mailed it, so they cashed it. Luckily, I had a line of credit that covered it. This was a big number, this check, and now I had overpaid my taxes.

Moral of the story. NEVER TRUST U.S. POSTAL SERVICE. Always get certified mail, return receipt requested, when you want something delivered and need proof of delivery later on, whether it's in the pool world or Uncle Sam.
