Thanks to all the folks who gave me tips on shimming the slate, leveling, and putting on the cloth...it came out great. Now all I need is a new light. The old bar box light isn't getting it done.

I highly recommend fleabay for a light...even with shipping they are cheaper than ANYONE locally I am sure. I paid 115 for mine delivered. 3 tier light on a chain...the key is hanging it centered over the table.

Home depot lights

Joey, Can you post a picture of that type of light. I really need one , but can't find one like a rectangle shape and reasonable. Similiar to a Diamond or Brunswick style. Thanks for any and all help. Kennyratt kennyratt@yahoo.com .

You can box the whole thing if you want.
This only cost like $40 at HD.

Yes that is the cheap way to do it. I would recommend getting the 4 fixture light off ebay or you could build your own diamond light with parts from HD.

4 on Ebay is pretty good

I put the 4 fixture light on my GC4 and it looks good as well as lights the entire table.

Here is another example of the "Home Depot" route. I think I paid like $45 or $50 for the light....I paid like $8 for the Honycomb filter.

Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done.......and I now realize that I have a burnt out bulb....:)

Check the avatar...

It doesn't take much to build a fixture with 4 8-ft. fluorescent bulbs...it's worth the effort...

Tap,tap,tap

Well done...still gutting my space...hopefully I'll be playing at home soon too...
