My book has been passed along to a second reader for the possibility of a movie. I had to send them my draft of the second book (incomplete) as well. The first guy loved the characters.

I know this is a one in a billion shot, but what the hell, someone has to hit the lottery, right?

That's great!!!

Pool needs a kick in the right direction and a good movie would help that out!

Good luck to you Bob. As you know agents and book companies only want the writers with proven sales. Not many will take a shot at new writers. Getting a book published is harder than becoming a top pro pool player these days. Johnnyt

Good Luck!

As someone who once had his bathroom wallpapered with rejection letters I know what it is like. Having complete strangers pass judgement on your heart and soul can be a very disheartening experience.
I wish you nothing but the best.

I think you may have all of AZ cheering for you, Bob....
.....all 47,000 and change.

May you make seven balls on the break on this one, sir.

I think not, Johnnyt...anyone can self publish a book. All you have to do is write it and pay to have it published. There are many avenues to self-publish on the internet, and some are quite reasonable. Becoming a TOP pro pool player...that's a whole 'nother ball of wax...one you can't really "buy your way" into. It takes lots of talent and years of hard work...and even then you may not crack the "elite pro" level.

Thanks for the good wishes. Been talking to this guy for a couple of months. It took him awhile to get to it. The production company usually does action type movies, the shoot them up type, so I'm not getting my hopes up too high. The reader said they usually only read stories that are specifically written for the movies. I guess that would be a screenplay. But he liked the characters and the interaction so he is moving it along.
