From what I'm looking at I'd have to say it's auto-clear, though could be wrong. Usually, UV is thicker.
I'm not seeing the whole cue but if the ONLY finish damage is what I see on the butt-cap and the joint collar, just those areas could be addressed quite easily.
I could be wrong but it looks as though there might be a little butt-cap separation as well, most likely from impact. If so, this would need to be addressed also. Notice the separation line that extends around the top of the butt-cap.
I think it's worth mentioning, because the topic is current, that in the enlarged butt-cap pic, you'll notice that the clear-coat flaked right off the metal ring (very top of photo). As I stated in the other thread, shiny metal offers nothing for the finish to 'bite' into. It relies on the finish on either side of the ring to support it.
Sometimes, it's like you could just stare at it real hard and it will lift.
I know that sometimes stuff happens but there's a lot of times when it shouldn't.
