Questions

I can understand how you might clean or buff a shaft, but how do you install tips with that contraption. Can you provide a video of you doing a tip replacement.

It's more for trimming the tip down even with the ferrule AFTER you glue the tip on using normal procedure. I have used (carefully) a razor to trim the tip to the point where I begin using the different grits of sandpaper. I do all my own re-tipping and also do tips for my good friends. Heck, the materials bought to make this thing will be payed for after just a few self-tipping jobs. Not to mention the pleasure derived in knowing that you did it yourself.

Maniac

P.S.
bigskyjake,
That thing looks so much like mine that I had to do a double-take on it. Good job, bro' !!!

Thanks Maniac, Yeah I just installed a tip in the normal way and sanded it flush, this thing makes cleaning and burnishing a breeze

I like that! Pardon the ignorance, but what are crutch tips?

Now I've got to go find Maniac to give him some REP.

Crutch tips are the rubber tips you put on the eng of a crutch. A real crutch [broken leg type]..
