Grand Opening
We have just come to an agreement to host another elite pro player who will be playing the other who as already agreed to play on Wednesday 8/30/17. The match will be held at The New Salt City Billiards at 1900 Brewerton Road Mattydale NY just 2 miles south of the old location. They will be playing a race to 13 prior to a 32 player open to be held the day before the Turning Stone Classic XXVIII held 8/31-9/3.
The tournament will be $100 entry, single elimination, races to 7, Joss Tour rules and capped at a 32 player maximum. We will have 8 nine foot tables and the event will start as soon as the feature match concludes or 7pm. They will be a player auction. 1st place prize will be $1,000 guaranteed. Auction should pay out very nicely.
Persons who want to play can PM me and make prepayment by PayPal or I can put you on a list to call back to pay a few weeks prior to the event. This event will fill easily because so many top players are in the area the day before the Turning Stone Classic. We are just 2 miles from airport and the New York State Thruway. We are a 30 minute drive from Turning a stone headed west on the New York State Thruway. I will arrange a discounted room rate with a preferred hotel to accommodate players coming in to play.
The event is shorter race, single elimination as it is a one night event with 8 tables. This format gives players the greatest opportunity to beat the best, we could see some real upsets. We intend to run this event the evening prior to each Turning Stone Classic. The events will be live streamed for free as well. We will have bar box mini tournaments during this event for players not in the event.
Throughout the 4 days of the Turning Stone Classic the room will be open for players wanting to play or matchup. We will be open late nights and running mini tournaments on the nine foot and barboxes as long as there is a demand.This will be a great way to kick off our opening.
