Hi.

Can you post some more picts of the whole cue ?

While the picture you have posted looks "pretty", its just not enough info to give you any real "feedback", but I'll add a few comments.

First, that butterfly (singular) you have depicted does not appear to be an inlay as such.

Did the maker cut and dye the veneers themselves ? That might add extra cred.

One butterfly (as pictured) is ridiculously easy to do. Try doing 4 or 8 of them on a cue, and keeping them all as close to perfect as you can, with hardwood veneers you cut yourself, now "that's a whole nother ball game".

Cheers - Dave (Butterfly Cue Fan).

I'm not sure I can get more pics before the cue is delivered. I'm not sure if he'll continue with it. This was his FIRST attempt at doing any of these. My terminology might be off. Keith is more of a points and rings kind of guy. We'll see where we go from here.

Fatboy, isn't this what you requested for pride week??????? :p :p :p :p :p

Thanks for the input from every one.

I have turned into a bit of a butterfly freak. I have a couple of old ones to convert that are just waiting for me to pull the trigger. They are the only ones I have, I don't actually have a completed butterfly yet.

From what we see of this the work looks very clean. I would love to see more of it. Is this actually a full splice?

I love butterfly work, and need to get one. I plan to get a BHQ one of these days!

The cue on top is the rainbow butterfly cue. It was commissioned by a fellow named Randy. His wife recently passed away, and we took a signature from an old check and transferred it onto the cue and cleared over it.
