After a lot of thought I have alot of polls in mind but I want to have everyone be meaningful,

answere #4 isnt a joke, there are rail birds and since were doing a TV show our audience is nothing but railbirds.

none of the polls I will create will have the one funny answere, i'm very serious about this, voting is a must for everyone please, dont feel obligated to make a post, if you like cool i'll read them all and might find a good idea in there.

i dont want to get to complitated, me for example I play pool, have for years. never played live poker or internet poker for a penny, however I was a rail bird when the WSOP was at the Shoe, I watched big $$$ side games, I'm a railbird in one game and a player in another, i didnt want to complicate the poll like this so just answere the one you do most, personally it would be pool.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE VOTE I NEED BIG NUMBERS.

ALSO PLEASE REMEMBER WHAT YOUR ANSWERE, I MIGHT NEED SUB GROUPS ON OTHER POLLS.

the whole thing should be done in a month, i'm not going to polute the forum with to many to fast, but they all count for something.

thx

fatboy<----around 247 today, havent been hungry

I've been all played out on cards for a while...but I will say this: I have never once gone to a poker forum!

Been a pool player for 22 years and I'[m gonna be a pool player for hopefuly a long time to come yet :)

I play cards from time to time and find it is mostly boring as most people are too casual. Poker is OK if there are others who take it seriously.

Pool I have played all my life (I'm 63) and have never found anything that compares. I have played many sports and was an Olympic quality diver. Played tennis, joined a country club for contacts and socialization and have played chess with mostly family and friends. Nothing compares to pool. Any style, any time, any place.

For me pool combines the offense and defense of tennis, the strategy of chess, and the fine motor coordination of diving. The only thing lacking is the danger of cliff diving (my other favorite hobby for different reasons).

I do not enjoy gambling at pool except in so far as it makes the players take it seriously. The real challenge is the self challenge to play better than one has played before. Like golf, one can root for your opponent and can always appreciate good play.

Contrary to what others think, pool can never be mastered as there are always new challenges.

I suspect that I am not too different than others in finding it embarrassing and pitiful to watch some stupid fool get sharked. To watch two players in head to head competition, that is good in any sport. When they have their skill on the line it is exciting. When they have their egos on the line it is wretched.

With regard to Poker, I am a multivariate statistician and a licensed psychologist (retired). Once you figure the odds and know how to read people it is only a matter of psychology and playing to the others' weakness. For me, Poker is about taking advantage of others. Where is the fun in that?

Hope that helps.

Well I'll admit I've been bit by the poker bug in the last couple years as have alot of people. But I will always be a pool player no matter how big poker gets, it's just that poker is a much wiser option from a financial perspective, reguardless of the stakes.
