Hey guys just wanted to post that for the first time in my pool life I have finally won some tournament money lol!!!!!! I recently purchased my first predator cue and it was a road line with 314-2 shaft and g2 medium tip.... Thanks to blokid here on AZ for an amazing transaction......I played well enough to get to the final but lost in a double elimination 8 ball tournament. The new cue gave me the confidence I needed to play better and I just wanted to share with everyone. It was only 40$ but the expierence and feeling was priceless.

Thanks,

Spencer Hughes

Congratulations....it is a little known tradition that "I" get half of ALL FIRST TOURNAMENT WINNINGS. So "P/M" me and I'll get you an address. Congratulations again!

Congratulations!!
The experience is for sure more valuable than the 40$ :)

2 weeks ago I won my first tournament (handicaped single elimination 9-ball). I used all the winnings (90 euros) in entrance fees for the next tournaments :)

Congratulations! Winning anything, or placing in the money, is great, no matter what the tournament.

Keep practicing and eventually you will feel ready to step up to bigger events!

Way to go Spencer!

It's just the beginning and it can be a long journey if you choose.

Money won is sweeter than money earned

Make sure you give due credit when quoting, dear Pacecar.

As you probably know, that line was spoken by "Fast Eddie Felson"
when he was talking to "Vincent" in the Color of Money on the virtues of gambling in pool.

congrats!

considering how little pro players make.....at $40, you have now cracked the top 100 in player earnings for 2016 !

Remember: you won $40, not $40 minus the $10 entry, minus the bar tab :)

Congrats! More to come.

Hahaha that's the truth......all in all I probably only pocketed a couple dollars due to 2 beers $10 entry and quarters because it was pay per rack but like I said the feeling of actually making it to the finals and winning some cash doing something I love is priceless and you right it's definitely sucked me in because I'm craving for next Wednesday to go at it again!!!!!!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, this thread by Spencer Hughes, is refreshing as hell. It's honesty and genuine down to earth humility is what we all like to hear coming from one of our young players.
It's a damn far cry from those who stood up and proclaimed their intentions of becoming a professional pool player, only to find themselves flat on their asses a few months later.
Again, well done Spence. :)

Congrats!!!
I just one my first match in the last tournament I was in. (2nd tourn.)
I went in the bathroom and said a big YES!! Just like Paul Newman in TCOM after he "beat" Vince in AC.

I would be ecstatic to win cash or place first.
Way to go!!!
