I don't know about you, but I for one, am tired of watching Professional Pool players having to wade their way through a bunch of amateurs, with all the BS rules, and short money, AND prize funds built with the players entry fees....and calling those events....Pro events!!!

I'm tired of always seeing tournaments held in casinos ot hotels as well. There's a LOT of pool rooms in this country, as well as around the world that are quite CAPABLE of hosting Professionals ONLY events, and THATS the direction I want to take the Professional Players!!!!

I also know for SURE, if this GAME as you'd like to call it, is fixed at the TOP for the REAL PROS, it'll trickle downhill to all the amateurs and SELF CORRECT THE BOTTOM! And if you think I'm going after the American viewing audience, you couldn't be more WRONG!!!
 
I have played pool for over 50 years.

Nobody gives a rat’s ass if it is called a hobby, a game or a sport.

CSI - Cue Sports International, I hope I don't need to re think what the who's who they're all about.
If normal ever resumes to its full potential with the now legal sports gambling finding a way to work in more than one state, anything is possible.


I am curious to see how this works, Like, "the streamer - network", are they in it for the results oriented return,
maybe even paying for the exclusive rights to stream this event in October?
Seems like the streamer is in command with a well staged infrastructure of computing power.
Wouldn't it be something if Netflix and AMC get into a biding war to buy this whole shbang?

I'm just sitting on the side line looking at the sport of it all...

There's a lot more going on behind the curtains that you're aware of, but I will say this, NO gambling can be done on POOL until a state first recognizes it as a paramutual wagering sport, and licenses it in A state first, and to-date, NO state has!!

Haven't you ever wondered why with all the tournaments held in casinos, there's NO gambling allowed, not even IN the casino?

So you define sport as something that is a contest involving money. Meaning a bikini contest on the beach is considered sport? Or better yet, when the fatties get together to see who has the largest pancake nipples if they do it for fun it’s just a hobby, but if money is involved you consider it a sport?

Ok. If that’s what you think than go for it. Have a tournament. Just understand that I am one of those amateurs and I wish I had more time to throw a few dollars (knowing I can’t win but love the opportunity to try) and get the chance to play a Efren or Shane.

Basically you’re saying the Derby sucks, right? Because that’s exactly what makes the Derby awesome in my opinion. I just haven’t been able to get there yet due to timing, but I really hope I get the chance to enter the one pocket division (twice) before my eyes go to complete shit. Who knows I may even win a game.

I know what I know, and unlike you I have a pretty good idea what I don’t know, especially when I run across it. I know you’ve come here a few times now spewing this bullshit about how much money you’re “going” to have to sponsor these big payout tournaments. So put up or shut up already.this is a pool forum for God’s sake- everyone here (except Justin) want to see this happen. And how wise is it to alienate one of the members here who has disposable income to drop on anything you finally come up with?? Maybe if you weren’t such an asshat to everyone who answers you some of this would finally start working for you.
 
I get the feeling this nonsense will go on for a few weeks and then you will finally get around to announcing whatever the hell it is your actually selling here. Let’s just cut to the chase and hear what you’re really selling- a new glue formula that not only adheres the cloth to the table but also cures limp dick, or maybe slightly used rails. Whatever it is just do it already. I bet your one of those kids that the teacher always had to have a conference with your parents because you never finished anything. But never shut up about it either.

It's no wonder AZB has fallen into the shutter, you're the exact reason why I hate even mentioning anything here. Go back to trying to win a bikini contest, I'm sure they'll let you back in the competition!!!
 
Glenn I have to say, that is interesting - a non profit sports platform, you and they may be on to something...
...for the good of the sport, a 501c type of thing? The Clinton Global Initiative came to mind at first, very successful, what went on behind the curtain was, is still today great theater for the amateur's where pro's are only aloud allowed.
State's have gambling statutes in place for their house and senate legislators to stake their livelihood, their political capital if they so choose.

I get the "go for the big one" attitude, desire, many are right there with you.
It's recognized by many that with the lockdowns, perfect for some, much has been in reserve waiting, wanting to get on with it...
