Fixing the game of 9 ball.

I really don't know, and I must leave the marketing side of the game to the proprietors and companies that do business in the industry. My career was in finance, not in marketing. I am a pool fan, not a person doing business in the pool industry.

The only view I do have is that for the game to grow, the number of people who play it must also grow, and my sense of things is that a strong pro pool product will not be enough to trigger greater participation in the sport. For this reason, I feel that improving the culture of the pool hall and finding a mechanism to introduce young people to the game and motivate them to play it are important. I also feel that pool pros must project a better image to become attractive to the masses.

Pool's biggest long term issue has been its failure to attract the demographic groups that advertisers are most trying to reach. Golf may be able to attract Cadillac and Rolex as sponsors, but pool, over the years, didn't dare even dream of reaching significant out-of-industry sponsors. If pool's reach can grow, that can change, and the challenge for those trying to bring pro pool to the next level is to make that happen. If pro pool's reach grows, it will be a much easier sell.
The advertisers I'm most interested in are your everyday, living life as a low income, or middle class family, and those that thrive on their dollars. Domino's, McDonald's, Burger King, Taco Bell, Starbucks, Dunkin....they ALL survive on middle class income, and they're all international advertisers. National advertisers are Geico, Verizon, AT&T, Netflix, HBO, Disney, Hulu....they ALL cater to the middle class. They ALL need eyeballs on their product in order to remind the public, to think about them when they want, or need something. When Professional pool players make a 7 figure income, the upcoming youth will get on board because its much easier to pursue a career as a Professional pool player than it is to pursue a career in football, baseball, basketball, or even golf, because they don't need college, or a lot of money to get started with....but they see what the Pros are then earning, and its the easiest dream to chase....just look at how many players today think they're of the Pro level😅

What's wrong with break and runs? Why would you want pros to look like bangers? No professional sport does that to their top players.
No professional sport pays as little as professional pool players get paid either
No professional sport pays as little as professional pool players get paid either!!
On another note, WHAT other sport demands the Pros compete with the AMATEURS????

How would basketball survive if the fans could come on the court and play with the Pros as well??
27,000 golf pros

In the United States, golf pros are typically members of the Professional Golfers' Association of America (PGA). PGA members include about 27,000 golf pros, according to the PGA website

BUT....
How many pro golfers are on the PGA Tour?

50 golfers

The priority position of all 50 golfers on the PGA Tour is based on money earned during the Tour Finals, except that the regular season money leader shares equal status with the Finals money leader.

And to be honest with all of you, my plans are NOT based on the American viewing audience, because y' all would never truly support the sport in the first place! I'm going after the rest of the viewers around the world, OUTSIDE of the United States!
I work at night and 95% of the weekends so I don’t buy many streams and such. Sometimes I do buy the stream on the last day if I’m home and can watch. I’m sure that’s not necessarily what you are referring to but I do spend money to watch the pros play.

And to satisfy your viewing requirements, all matches will be recorded and saved on the cloud storage system so that you have access 24/7 365 available for viewing anytime you'd like😅

... How many pro golfers are on the PGA Tour?

50 golfers ...
This is incorrect. I think you might have read something about the number of players eligible to move from the PGA's developmental tour to the main tour each year.

The field size for the main PGA Tour events varies, but it is generally more than 100, with 156 in many of the events. For the FedEx Cup Playoffs at the end of the season, they start with the top 125 from the dozens of prior events for that season, cut it down to 70 for the second playoff event, and then 30 for the final championship.

But the number of pros who hold PGA Tour cards, allowing them to play in PGA Tour events, is a lot larger than the field size for any particular event. A bunch of different rules determine just who will be playing in each event (about 50 such events this season).

...or more so a really bad computer that will blue screen at any moment causing you to lose your post before it auto-saves...?
Either way, I'm just saying that it's a rather unique way to seemingly respond to one's self.

Here's my problem with pool vs Golf.

In Golf;

The U.S. Golf Association’s official Rules of Golf contains a set of regulations titled, “Rules of Amateur Status.” The USGA defines an amateur golfer as “one who plays golf for the challenge it presents, not as a profession and not for financial gain.” By definition, therefore, an amateur may not collect winnings in a professional event, including a PGA Tour or other PGA-sponsored tournament.

In pool;

I can enter my 11 year old grandson in the US Open 9B event every year as long as he represents the $1,000 entry fee!! No one cares about his abilities to play, only that he represents $1,000!

There are NO open PRO only events in pool that are defined as "PROS" only because there are NO requirements that define PRO status! Sure, there's certainly events that include PROS, but they're based on points earnings or invite only!

That is why amateur players are needed to make tournaments happen, their DEAD money is needed to build up the prize fund, because otherwise, there wouldn't be any money to win at the top, thats nothing more than a ring game pool tournament!

Until there's a separation between the amateurs and Pros, the Pros will NEVER truly be able to earn a living in this sport!!!
