See you in manila Jay, maybe if you have time we can shoot some pool together
No worries, my Bautista cue stayed dry! They know what to take care of.
I am also heading to Manila 1 week from today. My thoughts and prayers have been and are with the people of the Philippines and especially to those who live in or who have family or friends that are living in Manila.
Hows the other Ph Tony Bautista? Have you tried shooting it already?
Yep I like it too. Been playing some Banks with Dennis (he's in residence here for the last month) and generally having fun hanging with him. He likes to cook and kick my ass playing pool. I fooled him yesterday and won a set of Banks. FINALLY!!
I'm helping him prepare for his big match next week with Shane in Vegas. I think he'll be well prepared for this match, thanks to defacto coach Jay. Wish I could be there to watch it. On the 18th I'm en route to visit you.![]()
I feel bad for the people in Manila and have said prayers as I have friends there, it is sad and people will die in those conditions. As for the US helping other countries and only sending 100K, its more than other countries probably have sent for sure, I would like to see big rich China send supplies that way and help out along with other countries nearby. We really have a good deal of problems here and I hate that the US plays world police and savior of all countries when we got 1,000s of people, families living in the woods of Florida, in cars and the streets. I think the US overextending itself is why we are in this mess in the first place, one day we will be the ones needing the help.
Dont count on it. Japan who is broker than us just about always outspends us on disasters in ACTUAL dollars not per capita. We are not among the top givers per capita for the most part either.
How much money did you send?
I have sent many THOUSANDS just in the last year to people in need right here in the US and i dont cheat on my taxes either.
Sounds like you guys got a pretty good bromance going on Jay. I'm happy you found someone.
:wink::wink::wink:
Good for you. I send money too and I always feel good about helping those who need it most. I even give the homeless folks on the side of the road a buck or two when I have it. From time to time I will bag up some old clothes and hand it to them at the stop light. I think this is much better then giving it to the Good Will who shreads it up and sells it by the pound as bulk material. Used clothes should go to the people on the streets who need it. I used to donate to the Good Will and get all excited about the tax write off. But they are the biggest scammers out there. I think I will send someone some money today.
Welcome to the Philippines sir, Are you here for business or fun? Maybe you will be watching the Yalin World Women championship? Well if yes see you then
I did not know this about Good Will, I drop things off a few times a year outside their drop off door whether it be clothes, toys and other things we have outgrown or do not use anymore. I will have to research a bit about Good Will to find out what your talking about.
