For anyone who thinks pool's not stressful

First off I dont agree with u putting his name on here, imho. Secondly i want to see in how this thread plays out now. I already see its like school in the summer, just like I used to hear it on Fat Albert!

if tucker swallowed his hockey stick sideways in a game, would it be appropriate to mention his name regarding the incident on the maple leafs forum?

Well, I am going to chime in on this one...

I know it hurt Fabio like Hell, because I have done it (more in jest, but I hit down too hard and I thought I was going to pass out).

The amazing thing to me is that the report says he did it multiple times.

I was practicing with a friend one day at lunch and I dogged a ball and leaned over and "beat" my head on the table. I either did it too hard or I underestimated the hardness of slate, but I can assure you that there was no way I was going to be able to muster up a second pass.

I had a large red mark on my forhead for the rest of the day and I had a migraine-level headache for about 3 hours.

I literally thought I had knocked myself out...

At times I can easily imagine myself head-butting my sharking opponent.

i understand your point.

cheers,

Wow, thanks for the news Louis. I really hope everything is going well with him tonight and there are people taking good care of him in the hospital.

Fabio has a charming heart once you get to know him better. He can carry avery intense mindset when it comes to the table time, as witnessed in his high number runs this year at the straight pool challenge at Derby City this year.

Wish you a safe recovery Fabio!

I think this is probably a product of something else going on. Without knowing for sure, it's hard to tell. But times when I have been out of line, there has been something in the background. A woman, bills, death.... I've taken a bathroom break and almost knocked myself out(literally) in disgust... I've bit my brand new shaft! lol Pool is frustrating sometimes, but I think it's a culmination of things.

I am sure it is. That's why I hope that nobody will judge him. Life's hard sometimes. We never know what the other are living and how much it could affect... Everybody is different.

edit : yes, hope he gets better.

Wow.. that is pretty intense.....
any injury update? .. I imagine that the worst to come out this will be a few stiches and a REALLY hurt ego...

Fabio Petroni was just playing his match against Gabe Owen. Fabio was losing, apparently playing bad and just couldn't take it anymore. He missed a ball and then started banging his head on the table. Blood started pouring out of his head so bad that he couldn't finish the match. They took him out of the room and had to call the paramedics.

This looked much worse than I could possibly describe.

I hope that he's ok and he probably will be but...damn!

If this was Earl you guys would be saying how F'ing CRAZY he is.....RIGHT?

I think it is understood that this dude is a "little off".... actually nobody has come out and said it, but he has got to be a lil "F'ing Crazy" to pull something like this....

Shades of Crazy Bruce from Miami, a head basher of the highest order. His favorite was to run full speed across the poolroom with his head down, and straight into a wall. And knock himself out cold. I shit you not!

Scalp wounds will bleed profusely, due to all the small blood vessels in our scalp. It looks worse than it is most of the time. Frankly I'm surprised too. I never saw Fabio act anything like that. All I ever saw him do was try to win.

Crazy Bruce there is a unique guy. A guy I took on the road seen him run head first into a set of double locked metal doors. Knocked him cold out. Have you seen him the last few years? He is no longer Crazy Bruce.

that guy sounds like a trip! :D

As Gabe Owen is one one my favorite players, I was watching the match yesterday. Gabe was playing really well and Fabio had missed a few shots. With Gabe up 7-2, Fabio missed a 7 ball that he would make 99.9% of the time. He sat down and Gabe won that game, broke and was running out the next game. He got a little funny on the 7 which led to a little funny on the 8 and his sot at the 9 was now from the rail at a decent angle. Not a hanger by any stretch.

So I am watching and Fabio takes a knee by the corner pocket and I think he is going to give Gabe the game, but then he bangs his head into the corner of the table 4 times. I mean hard like a hammer. He then falls over next to the table and Gabe looks around and says, "this is the craziest thing I've ever seen", and proceeds to call for the referee. Fabio then stands up and is bleeding from the forehead. The ref comes over to clean him up asking for paramedics the entire time. Fabio was pushing him away telling him to get off. They finally calmed him down and when I left he was on the floor outside waiting for paramedics. He did not look good. He asked the ref (I am sorry I don't know his name because he is always there) to apologize to the fans for him. I truly hope he is okay and know, without a doubt, he regrets what he did. Bizarre!

Fabio is latin , meaning "the bean".

Best wishes on a speedy recovery for a great player.

I talked to Gabe yesterday, he told me about it. Very shocking. (He has unfortunately called with worse news, but it's been quite a few years)

I wish Fabio a speedy recovery.
