No worries....I check it two or three times a day for updates....so I'll catch it the same day it's updated, for sure.

Looking forward to seeing Tony in the next week or two....and maybe I'll be lucky enough to see you up there, too!!! :) :)

I'm with Kevin, though.....who was the lucky S.O.B that pulled this one in??!! If it's supposed to stay private, I understand....but you know how us cue people are.....we'll find out somehow!! ;)
I thought you were the one that got this one after your road trip south of the border.
Matt wanted it but one bad nut does not go as far these days... :D

I think the buyer should just come forward and allow the forum to congratulate him personally on such a gem.

Sorry to say, at this time, I have no other details. Craig handled the deal personally. He's shared with me only what I've shared with you.

I agree

IF IT WAS BILL, I'M SURE HE WON'T BE HAPPY THAT THE PRICE WAS DISCOLSED ON A PUBLIC FORUM.

To me there are a lot of times price is between the buyer, seller and God. I am not sure why some people don't understand this concept.

Understood-- some may consider it in poor taste to post the price. I did it because I took some heat that the price was inflated to begin with. As I understand it both buyer and seller settled on a price they believed fair and gave me permission to post it. So sorry-- if I've offended anyone, I didn't realize it was poor ettiquette.

If the buyer and seller agreed that it was open for public consumption, then it's a non-issue. I think most didn't know that up front.....and as cue nuts are a tight-knit bunch, I think they were just looking out for the buyer. I don't think any apologies are in order at all, ma'am....

It was/is (inflated price, I mean). Hypothetical, but for a moment lets say that this cue actually sold for 7500 bucks, what incentive do you have to post that price? Still think the price was too high even if your figure is correct. I find it interesting that buyers here in the states are now paying big bucks for these cues, when only a few years ago, buyers in the states were being told they couldn't get them because they were all being sold to Japan. ???????

I can say this....you're right when you say that these cues are bringing some pretty healthy dollars. Being a big Black Boar cue fan, I've paid for a couple, myself (..okay...more than "a couple").

The fact that alot of these cues were going overseas made them VERY difficult to come by...thus creating more of a demand than there was a supply. That equates to a higher dollar cost to acquire one here in the states.

I am not shocked, at all, that the cue sold for just about $15,000. When was the last time an 8-pointer came up for sale on the open market?? You just don't see them....so when one pops up....a fanatic like me is willing to swoop down and snatch it up.

Not saying it's right, wrong, or indifferent.....it's just the way it is. In essence, the supply/demand issue is no different for cues such as B. Szamboti and Dennis Searing. Too many folks out there that want them...and not enough cues to satisfy the need. Hence, folks are dropping MAD dollars when one comes up.

Truth be told....if I had the means to get it myself...I would have.

Man, I just might have to bring my 8 pointer BB out ... not as fancy as this one though ...

How much is Craig's 4-pointer going for? Anyone know? I am going to have an AS-8 up for sale as soon as I know what price range it is in.

Ho

Did not know you had a BB.
Last time we exchanged messages, you go the fancy Tasc while I got the basic 4-pointer.
How is that cue doing plus the fancier one you mentioned?

Have you at least posted pictures of the 8-pointer to the BB web site?
Good way to show it off and show off the talent of Tony to keep the prices right up there.

I actually never owned a Tascarella in my life yet... deals never went through.

This is second BB I've owned through a trade + $$$$. First one was traded to another AZ'er. My BB looks just like this one for sale without inlays. I got the ivory joint and ivory buttcap just this one with silver inlays in the joint collar on the butt and shaft but no inlays. (FYI, please do not PM for sale on BB .... when it is for sale or trade, I'll let you know, thanks.)
