Hello. I recently acquired a Wes Hunter Classic Custom Cue - it has never been used and comes with two shafts - it is a beautiful cue. Here are the stats:

wrap: white with double black spec linen wrap
wood: purpleheart forearm with five ebony points-purpleheart butt with two ebony bands; tan and teal veneers and stitches; ebony rings.
inlays: five ebony diamonds in purpleheart on butt

two shafts - 13mm
phenolic joint/ferrules
length: 58"
weight: 19 oz

The cue is valued at $1600, but will entertain offers of interest and provide a photo if you send a PM. If I can figure out a way to post a picture at some point, I will do so.

Thanks.

thanks David. they are not the best quality as the lighting was terrible and I am most definitely not a professional photographer, but it gives the general idea of the style for anyone interested.

any thoughts from anyone as to what a good sale price would be for the cue? thanks.

Nice cue from a solid builder. It's easily worth $1500 in good condition. He uses outstanding shaft wood, same stuff I use only he is pickier than me(saying a lot). We hunt for & buy our shaft lumber together, and mill & dowel it all together. He will use nothing but the very best. Wes is a veteran builder. I have learned a lot from him, and consider him to be a true friend & often times a mentor.

The market for cues in general is kinda dead, so cues as a whole are tough sellers. But this cue should pull no less than $1400-$1500 in good condition. I think if the pics were better, and showed CLEAR close-ups of the joint, butt, rings & point tips, the sale would be considerably easier. Blurry & vague pics do more harm than good. Just some advice. Good luck with your sale. I'm sure whomever buys will be pleased.

Thanks Eric. If only I could relay the beauty of this cue, it would be gone in a second! Unfortunately, after many attempts at better pictures, the ones in the post are as good as I can get. I do understand what you are saying though - for that much money, it is hard to go on blurry pictures, but it is in perfect condition.

Thanks again for your thoughts and best of luck to you with your ventures.

I have owned 3 Hunters in the past few years and they are fantastic cues. They hit really solid and Wes pays attention to details. Nice shaft wood and craftsmanship. Good luck on the sale, great color combo. Deacon

I've been wanting to find a Hunter cue for awhile, but just haven't been able to find one when I have the cash....oh well, that's the way it goes!

I'm sure this cue is top-notch just like all of the other Hunter cues out there!

Good Luck!

Hunter Classic

I definitely agree with gbilder (Eric) Wes Hunter definitely makes one of the best playing and looking cues on the market! I play with one and had one I sold and am trying to locate.
And Eric couldn't be more correct on the blurred photos. You need to take more pictures and replace these. It will make selling this cue so much easier.

bumping to the top - cue has been put away for way too long and is begging to be used :p I am truly a creature of habit as my McDermott and other custom are my primary cues (the Hunter has never been used to date). if interested, drop me a line. If you need more pics, be glad to send them via email. Thanks.

I tried 2 or 3 cues a year until I picked up a Hunter, after I played about an hour with it I bought it and have never wanted another cue. Everytime I go to a pool room, someone comes up and asked me who made it. It plays great and I would not change it unless it was for another Wes Hunter. Wes is a great guy and easy to talke to, good luck with the sale. Tom

truly, I have never heard a bad thing about Hunter cues. I have been playing with the same McDermott since I can remember (sad but true) and other than that cue, the only other love I had was a Huebler sneaky pete. The Hunter has not seen the light of day but about a handful of times and that was to show others, one friend said use it or sale it so here I am again (tried to sale it before but the market was a mess, so trying again).

Hopefully it will find a good home.
