Here we have a beautiful 6 point (3 hi - 3 low) Jeff Olney cue in dark brown bacote and birdseye maple with alternating bacote (long) & ebony (short) points. The long bacote points are single-veneered in ebony, tough to pick up in the pics but a real nice touch. BTW, and as some of you already know, Jeff's point work is spectacular.
Also, the natural phenolic joints have aged to a beautiful pinkish-brown.
I heard about Jeff through the grapevine maybe five years ago and ordered this cue from him. I was so impresses when I received and played with it that I ended up ordering some more of his cues. :thumbup:
If you do a search here you will find a thread dedicated to him featuring cues he has in the works and lots of nice compliments from his legion of fans. The post count may be approaching 70 - 80 pages by now (guesstimate - should go look).
One other thing about his work. The joint he used on all of my cues will never fail you by coming loose. It is just not possible. :smile:
I am such a fan that if you look in my signature line you will see that I continue to use an Olney, alternating with a TS, as my players.
The cue is in terrific, used condition.
It is straight both together and apart.
