And I believe you will also see I said the cue went to eBay with a much lower reserve not three posts down from that in the same thread. Jerry will not make that cue with two shafts for cheaper than 850. Yes, I asked 750 for it for a few days, but when I got no nibbles, I lowered my price and put it on eBay. There is a big difference in what I did kid and what you are trying to do...BIG difference. The nice thing about this country though, it is a Democracy, and the people have spoken...they don't wanna buy your inflated priced cues, nor buy my cue for that matter. I can live with that.

Try getting Searing to make a cue like mine. Tell me what he has to say. Then talk to Bender and Kersenbrock about re-forming Omega/dpk. Tell me what they have to say. As for Jerry Franklin, may he rest in peace.

If you sell that modified sneaky pete to someone for $1,500 (after buying it on Fleabay for $900) I'll enroll in you're school of marketing. I'd also like to get ahold of the buyer, since I have several cues to sell him/her as well as some choice real estate in Colorado cheap. Buying and selling cues for profit is great and fun, but you're dreaming if you think you can sell that sneaky pete for big bucks (especially since it was on ebay).

As for you're Southwest, I have a nicer one that I will sell for $2,000 (that's $1,000 less than what you're asking) Keep on dreaming sport.

On a side note, I like Shorty and have seen him buy and sell cues at a loss. I'd hardly call his Rauenzahn cue a piece of shit....they are good cues. At least he was not asking double for what he bought it for.

He can ask whatever he wants for his cue. If you don't like his asking price you are more than welcome to not buy it. And what he paid for it is irrelevant.

If the demand is there the cue will sell. Anyone not living in a cave knows that the demand for Searings is definitely there. Additionally, this is a fairly unique Searing so there may even be more demand for a cue such as this. Because of this the cue will command a premium price.
 
I didn't even read the second post on down before I was laughing out loud... I saw that Searing on ebay and laughed that you paid almost $900 for a sneaky with rings, and it doesn't say Szamboti....

Then you come here trying to sell it to people that watch ebay daily anyways wanting to double your investment (which was too high anways). You got greedy. People busted you out. Now you are all defensive because you know that you are caught.

As far as what Shorty was selling, he marked it up around 15-20%, not 100%. Waaaaaaaaay different. And as far as your analogy on sitting in a store informing customers, that is just insane.... :rolleyes:

I don't have a problem with you, but this is just outlandish. As a matter of fact, a good friend of mine (and cue collector) talked to me about the auction you won. You overpaid for that cue in the first place.

A few months ago I had a Scruggs sneaky pete. I wanted $699. The snitches said I was crazy. They tried to get in my way. Needless to say, I went on to sell that cue for $725.

Well, you are the Donald Trump of pool cues. Go ahead and private message me so that I can sell you my Southwest and then you can go ahead and double its price and sell it. You can make a cool $1000 or two. I also have blackboar, scruggs, jensen, mottey, martinez, etc....the list goes on. Buy my whole collection and you'll make big.

well if you were a dealer in a room then your cost shouldn't be for everyone in the world to see.

As far as someone saying they could get it on ebay for less, well there are a lot of arguments that can break that down. Such as all the scams, the shipping, the endless bad stories.

And if its true you can buy something new elsewhere for a third of the cost, well then I'd say I'm getting a bad deal from my vendors and would try to work on that.

I wasn't ripping you for trying to make a profit. Hell I could care less if you make a profit on cues you buy, I just don't get why your upset that people point out what you paid when its public knowledge.

Don't like it, well then don't sell cues here. Buy your own domain, get it hosted on a server, post the pictures, and don't respond to the bad emails.
