I used to go to that place. I think there is still a pool hall there.

Didn't Ray have a "Cushion and Cue" in Livonia about a million years ago? maybe after the "Capitol Cue Club" got shut down with Cornbread and 15K on the table?

if anyone can give me the skinny on who's supposed to get down this weekend I would appreciate it.
Private message is fine if you don't care to mention it here. I can/will respect that also.

action

supposed to be at hall of fame today from what i have heard. i will try and get there and bet on my man ronnie. will post results later tonight.

update

well they started playing at aprox 6pm. went back and forth , ronnie was up as many as 6. matt looked very uneasy early on. missed some easy shots and was jumping. i thought ronnie was gonna finish him off quick, but a key miss on the 7 to go up 7 games was costly. it cost him 3 games. matt said and i quote "if i lose tonight i'am gonna saw my legs off and walk home". the game was 12 ahead 9 ball on a tight table. in my opinion ronnie is the favorite. i believe the boys from virginia had all the action they could take. there was about 8 in the middle and the side line was open for anyone that wanted to bet against ronnie. as i just got home they finished with matt ahead 4 and they will resume tommorow afternoon. i think it will be a few more days but ya never know. i'll keep yall posted.

it's over

well it's over !!! on the second day it didn't take long. ronnie was down 4 games at the end of last night, and it took less than 4 hours to win 16 games . ronnie wins!!! come to detroit , where the action is!!

I stayed for a couple hours last night...they both were struggling a little bit but Ronnie looked more comfortable, congrats to Ronnie.

U then missed all the action in Bogarts on plymuth ave.

Well, damn! Would've liked to see VA bring the chickens back, but that Wiseman is a bad dude, no bout a doubt it...
Matt is also STRONG, I think he's really only gotten back into the game for a year or so and he is bringing Ajax. Scary.

A week ago...my wife hated Miami so I jumped ship. Its nice up here and I'm starting to find my way around...just wish my pool game would have made the trip as well, LOL.

Voodoo~~~learning how to play without humidity is humbling:eek:

Yes, that was one of Abrams rooms back in the late 70s early 80s. He also had one in Oak Park which featured a lot of 3-cushion play. I played alot at the Livonia room, which feature a cool guy at the counter, Big Bill Patee.
