Semih - A Real Artist from A Real Player

it's a 3 cushion billiards table which is a lot faster than a normal pool table and has a heated bed. not to take away from semih's amazing skill and stroke though!
In addition to the heating element which removes the moisture, these following factors make the ball run faster.
1, The common billiard cloth used today is faster (Simonis 300).
2, The balls are always polished (sometimes even sprayed with silicon for artistic exhibition).
3, The tables are vacuumed clean after each game (about 1 hour of play).
4, The size of cue ball is bigger, and the cue tip size is smaller (when comparing to pool ball).
Here are a few factors which make it more difficult for a big-stroke shot:
1, The ball is heavier
2, The surface of the ball is very polished, good chalks, chalking techniques and cueing techniques are all important to prevent miscues.
3, The surface of the table are very fine which makes it a little harder for the spin to grab and take action.
4, The size of the table is slightly bigger
Perhaps Bob, Ira, Jim, Yow or any 3C fans can help explaining this better.
Semih has been one of the strongest professional 3C players in the international circuit for at least 15 years. I am very fortunate to witness his performance in both real game matches and artistic exhibitions. I just want to point out that not only he has some amazing stroke power, but also he's got some great knowledge and ability to deliver any billiard shots with accuracy. To top it off, he has a great imagination and a great way to present it to people.
I have just did a cuetable library search and found over 60+ posts about Semih, please enjoy:
