I have been to your party twice in the past few years. I was under the impression that it was "The Inside Pool Party" and I had only thanked JR and Sally for their invite.

It is my understanding that Jeeve's always put it on with his own alcohol and that IP paid for the room.... I could be wrong but I think that's how it worked.Rich R. said:

He left me a voice mail earlier this evening explaining that because the party will be on the 13th floor this yr, they could run into problems with the noise because there's regular rooms on the floor along with the suite. Due to this, thats why he'll more than likely only have the party on Fri & Sat. Hopefully the hotel won't shut the party down like they did two yrs ago. Because of the noise.

hello all I have the suite reserved at the 14th floor once again, called the club lounge. i am still working on financing the event. however because of plcb rules I can not charge for this type of event, but tips are good, (moori, triangle, etc hahaha) you all know what I mean. I will post updates as soon as I know more.

I am really looking forward to this years party and show. I think everyone can come up with more than $10 a night. You would spend a hell of alot more in the bar. Eric keep this in mind when handing out the wristbands. Eric, girl , girl, girl, Chris, girl, girl, girl, ect.... Just a suggestion. Eric come find me on wed night I would like to buy you a drink. I should be in the grotto or chumleys. I expect to make it to the hotel around 8 - 9pm. Chris

I have a agreement with InsidePool to make good on his promise of 2 years ago. They have been always a friend (strained at times and pressured to break) but always there to support. I apologize if my post of 2-26-06 was too strong, but our agreement was not finalized at that time and I was struggling to keep promises of my own. I also need to point out that without JR the party would have never been started or continued for all of us to enjoy and love. His support both of finances in the first 8 years and continued friendship within the sport and of the sport was and is greatly appreciated.
If we are going to make pool, our world number one, we need to fix the internal politics and get together and discuss how we can act as one entity. I understand that pool players have a stigma ( my father says pool is a sport full of sin) as a suggestion. I propose that we try to work together and stop bad mouthing and crawling down peoples back to hit them where it hurts. There are people in the world who are crooks and most of them are not pool players and we know that to be true. I don't have the answers and it seem that money always gets in the way or some person personal philosophy interfere with the general view, but if we step back we can do this or if some business does not come thru in the matter that is expected
I don't know if this can be started at the party or not. but the party was truly designed to be a networking event away from the expo floor. so let us lay down those sharp swords and move on unifying our thoughts of where we want to go with this sport that we love so much.

I don't drink alcohol, and I must say that I was very impressed with the non-alcoholic beverages available, especially the Starbucks coffee drinks!
My fondest memory of attending this party was hearing Shannon Daulton and Liljon singing a capella.
Everyone who attended seemed to be in fine spirits, literally and figuratively!
