Forsale Franklin Era Southwest 3 Shafts Lizard Wrap Joint Protectors A,b,c,d,e Rings

Serious question so please don't pop a gasket on me, was SouthWest putting the serial numbers on the pins while Jerry was still around?
MULLY

yes,i think they started the numbers in 1993 and jerry died in 1996.

I don't know where you guys are pricing your cues, but if you have a cue of this caliber with all of the extras mine has in the conditon my cue is in I will gladly give you the $2200 you are saying mine is worth.

Here is a Southwest that sold on ebay last week for $2025. It did not have the extra ring work, it did not have the joint protectors, it did not have the real lizard wrap. it did not have the extra predator shaft, oh yeah, one more thing it was not a Jerry Franklin cue . I guess mine is only worth $175 more than this cue, seeing how it's only got $1500 worth of upgrades. Maybe if I throw in my 3x6 Justis Prolite case with the deal your unwanted and inaccurate appraisal will go up $100.

If anyone has a real offer or a legitimate question, please post it here or PM me, I'll be happy to help. If not, please keep your comments to yourself. I know some people just can't help but to say something stupid, but just try it once. You will make everyone else happier.

Your cue, your price. Stick to your guns if your comfortable with it.

Time will tell if your out of line.

Good luck with your sale.

just my observation.... personally I think the price is too high.. I sold my pre-date 1987 franklin with LOA 1 year ago with 3 original shafts, 1 new SW shaft for USD2400 and that was tough for me.... although it was only a simple 6-pointer without verneers....
cues were selling a lot easier then compared to now...

Very nice cue by the way. Maybe close to 3K in my opinion. I would love to own it...

I can vouch for the cue,it does play very well with the predator shaft and I hope the seller gets what he want's.Personally I thought the cue was one of the nicest looking and perfectly balanced cues I have ever played with in my 22 years of playing and constantly got compliments wherever I went.Good luck

The price is not set in stone

I set the price high, becuase I know everyone wants to haggle a little. I can always come down on the price, but could never go up. I bought this cue from a very reputable member here on AZ and was told the joint protectors were from southwest. I am looking into weather or not this is true. If the this cue does not sell for what I need, I am going to post it in the raffle sticky.

P.S. Sorry I was so harsh in the previous post, I was just venting.

I DON'T CARE IF YOU SELL IT FOR 8K, BUT THOSE AREN'T SW JP'S.... JUST SHARING INFO, GOOD LUCK WITH THE SALE.

Matt, Bring the cue and meet me down at Breakers and I will give ya $25.00 for it.

p.s. Oh yeah and I will even pay in cash.

Shaking my head....

I hate reading threads like this....I posted THIS in June, and this thread is almost word for word a duplicate of my above referenced post.

Can't ya just let this poor guy offer his cue for sale????

His original asking price of $3,700 was like a slap in the face. Most everyone on AZ tries to get more that what the cue is probably worth, that is the nature of the beast. But when something is priced well beyond what cues of like nature have been selling for in the past, it tends to invite ridicule.

Unfortunately free advertising invites ads where the seller has nothing to lose by posting overpriced goods.

I love SW cues, and this one is no exception. However, a pencil thin shaft, an aftermarket wrap, oversized joint protectors, and predator shaft actually devalue the cue for some. If the cue was pristine and had two full original shafts, I'd say $2,700 top end in this market. But hey, I hope he gets his full asking price, then I think I'll follow his lead and sell all of mine.

In closing I'll use the standard AZbilliards cliche to make everyone feel good again....

Nice cue, great price, should sell fast
