You wanna play some 8ball, 9ball and one pocket in a TAR all around Amateur challenge match? If you do not understand this question, go back to lurking.

Southpaw

I will assume that this is a test to see how much I've been lurking. lol. :D If I remember right, you already have this challenge out with another member!? I could be wrong, maybe that was someone else, but I think it was you that wanted to be an undercard....oh, maybe I have actually been reading the posts!? In response to the challenge...well, I can be careless with money, but not stupid. I have no idea how you play and I've donated my fair share all over the country, so I'd have to decline. But it would be a possibility in the future.;)

I've also noticed the huge amount of riff-raff in this forum. In addition to the people you mentioned, it's also full of members who do nothing but troll the boards and/or complain about other members and get up on their soapboxes like their opinions really matter. It's painful to read through. :D
If you think it's bad here, check NPR

Just for consideration for those established community members here, the seed post here has "troll" all over it -- meaning, the poster is baiting the community with inflammatory comments in hopes of eliciting a response. Wikipedia explains it well --

An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial and usually irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional response[1] or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.[2]

And people wonder why pool isn't popular. As soon as some people hear something they don't like or disagree with, they attack and tell that person to go back to lurking or hiding, get lost, et cetera. He brought up a valid point and I happen to agree with it.

I love this, Internet Troll. Do you have a description for a wannabe Moderator? You know the one, doesn't add to the subject but he will write,
"This guy needs to get banned", LOL, as if he really has any power. These people IMO are a bunch of LOSERS!

Well now

I've been thru this whole thread. Here's my take on it. {I'm sure it don't matter} Maybe he brought up a valid point, but it will never change things. People are gonna hijack threads. Can't stop it. People are gonna crack jokes, can't stop it. People are gonna ask questions that were asked on here 25 times over the last 4 years since I've been here. You're always gonna have a wide variety people here, some with knowledge, some without. Some who start trouble and want to bash others for asking stupid questions, posting stupid threads, or hijackings.
So, while he did make a valid point and suggestion, will things change? NO!!! Did he do anything worthwhile with this thread? YEA!!! A few jokes were cracked, and I got a smile or 2 from some of you to help start my day. Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, I have no doubt that things will not change. But just because he says something that others disagree with is no reason for them to attack him with insults.

Hmmmm, the pot calling the kettle black?

Not meaning to insult (or moderate, or suggest any banning), just observing that the seed post is a classic example of trolling. Perhaps the poster didn't *intend* to troll, but the rhetoric appeared to be intentionally provoking and aggressive -- that tends to get a response, which is what feeds a troll.

/just sayin'!

Sorry Marissa

It just struck me as funny. A couple of years ago, there was a lot of fighting going on here, and you were in a bunch of it. OOOPS, have we hijacked this thread? Sorry!!!!

Reason for edit: THANKS!!!!

It's something we are all guilty of, some more than others. I love the funny pic thread, but it belongs in the NPR. I don't care if you changed your avatar to a chick with bigger boobs. THAT certainly doesn't warrant it's own thread. Or the pool-related threads that become about the boobs in so-and-so's avatar. I don't care if you agree/disagree with a post or that you gave rep for it - that's what the rep button is for.

I Am NOT A Clique Member, I Am A Human Being

Well, I am NOT a member of any troublemaking trolling off topic Forum clique and I fully intend to honor the OP's request, by not participating in this thread.

Doug

Edited to add: I am going out to buy some chalk. imo
No Rep for you !

I hope I can go to the Kabob place for lunch today. I like the hot sauce with the chicken and the garlic paste. Not too spicy, but hints at a real kick. It is especially good with a fork-full of rice. They have a really good salad dressing too, I think they put crack in it because if I don't have it regularly, I really start to crave it. Like the past weekend, I took Friday off and went to Durham, NC for a cousin's wedding and I last had the dressing a week ago and I really need it. I am hungry! Did anyone ever read 'Naked Lunch' by W.S. Burroughs? That was weird, especially the part where he wrote the story and then re-spliced all the sentences. I wonder how it would've read it it's original order. Probably wasn't coherent, the cause for the shuffle. I wish Bruce would shuffle away from his keyboard for a lifetime or so. I also like the tofu pad thai but is is like $12 for lunch there and so crowded that I can barely get there and back in the hour I have for lunch. But it really is tasty with lime all over it. Wonder what Corvette is having for lunch today.
