Are there really that many people on here that have absolutely no clue how idiotic they sound? And can you really not do a search?

I'm sure the people that I'm complaining about will read this and know who they are...please don't reply. I don't care to hear what you have to say and nobody else does either. If you only have two working brain cells, one is lost, and the other is out searching for it, why do you feel the need to start a thread or post in someone elses?

Oh, and on another note, I don't want any conversations in my thread either! If you want to "chat" with someone, send them a frickin' PM, don't clutter up a perfectly good thread with a bunch of chit-chat. I'm tired of looking in a thread about X and finding member A asking member B what they had for dinner last Friday. STFU!!! Nobody else cares so why make it public? Oh, and don't end your frickin' post in thanks. thanks.

Well I gotta ask: If you've been lurking you knew what you were getting into. If we're all such a bunch of idiots why did you bother to join? Yeah, the forum is imperfect, but it is what it is. Reread your post and ask yourself how you would react if someone introduced themself to you with such a confrontational and condescending tone.

If you walked into a poolroom with that attitude and that mouth you'd probably leave with a black eye.

He DID make valid points, but he came in like a rude jerk and called everyone idiots and told us to STFU. Sure, he can split hairs and say "I was only addressing certain people", but what's the point in the rudeness? I think that's mostly what he's getting blasted for.

I will admit that the language in my post may have been a little (or a lot) strong. Yes there are better ways to make a valid point. While the fact remains that most would be at an awe of the infinitesimal level of intelligence in many posts on this forum, it seems many posters expect it. Not only that, but seem to encourage it. This isn't exactly the first forum that I have ever joined, but I have become accustomed to the forums having members that monitor them, and make sure to let people know when they are out of line in a thread. It seems that when someone speaks up on here, they get blasted (and I'm not even talking about me!) and called "clique" members or some other term that is supposed to have an insult in it.

One thing that I have found humorous about this thread, is that most of the members that chose to give me negative rep for this thread haven't posted in it. That tells me that either they felt that the post was pointed directly at them and actually listened to it, or perhaps they feel like I am just a troll (as mentioned a few times) that is stirring stuff up and don't deserve a response.

And in response to the question raised about whether or not I expected this...I did. I was fairly sure that this thread would be hijacked in certain ways...but to be honest, due to the nature of this thread...that behavior really isn't off topic. LOL.

Oh, and for all those that cried NPR...well, this is a Pool Forum...and this is about the Pool Forum...seems pool related to me.

Hopefully this language is a little less harsh, and nobody thinks that I'm calling the entire forum idiots. Thats not the case...there have been several threads that I have read that have been very informative...just seems like there are a lot of posts that the forum could do without.

LMAO! To be honest I could really care less about the rep. I am who I am, I never asked anyone on here to like me or dislike me...and I'm not going to change for any of them. If I happen to meet people on here that I get along with...great! If not, well, I haven't lost anything.:D

This is, without question, the funniest thread I've ever read on here! My wife is down the hall asking me what the hell is so funny and I can't even answer, I'm laughing so hard!

Or it could be what I had for dinner made me just a little giddy. Ham, egg and cheese fritata with multi-grain toast and a Guinness.

Now that I got that off my chest, I can agree with Duke to some degree. But if I'd come on here and not read this thread, I wouldn't have had the best laugh I've had in months. So thanks!

There are times when I find this forum disturbing. Those times I leave and go find another one. Like changing channels on TV when all ESPN wants to show is soccer. And that's just fine with me cause when it's lousy, it gives me time to do other things. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

The single most important thing is time. You have to put it in, if you don't you'll always be a hack.
