FORUM Problems AGAIN TODAY

I tried to search for my "FORUM Problems TODAY" thread that I made a few days ago, but unfortunately, when I click the link today for search, nothing happens. The forum is again running extremely slow today. Sometimes when I click a link, nothing moves. I then have to reenter the forum via Google, hoping it will pull up.

So, for those of you who are experiencing problems today with the forum hanging, it is not your computer. The forum server must be on overload once more.

I am sure it will get fixed soon. It just sucks to click a link and wait and have nothing happen. It reminds me of my dial-up days, and even dial-up was quicker than this. I guess I'll have to get some work done today at work! :D

Happy Birthday to Shane Van Boening's grandfather who is 81 years young today! :)

His name is Supercue, I think. I would go look and check, but the forum is so slow, I'm going to take a chance on it that this is his forum name.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SUPERCUE! :)

I was thinking the forum is slow because of all the forums that are on here, the Mizerak and IPT ones are still open along with some others, perhaps its time to close them to open up bandwith for the site.

How long did it take you to wait for that post to come up, Fast Lenny? About 10 minutes? :D

One seems to not appreciate the good things about this forum until they are gone, and this really sucks. :(

I really think getting rid of some of the old stuff and freeing up bandwith will help.

I'm no expert on this but the bandwidth issue would typically be related to the number of users accessing the forum
at a given time, not the number of threads or forum areas available for access. Sometimes your ISP and even the
internet backbone gets overly busy which could also slow things down. Kind of like the Long Island Expressway
during rush hour - too many cars and not enough road.

added - it took about 30 seconds for this post to go live.

Looks like things are hopping again, back to normal.

Time will tell, but so far, everthing is responding quickly again. :)
