I unfortunately missed the bulk of this match. Does anyone know if a download is available? Can't seem to find anything.

Thanks,

R.S.

Lenny is correct, we are working on getting the DVD together. I will make sure that it is made public to all that may be interested. However with everything that is going on right now, Vegas etc I will be a month or so before it is available. Sorry but we have to try and keep up with the pool world that seems to be moving at a high pace riht now.

Just a note to everyone doing these kinds of videos.

PLEASE find a way to allow people to purchase a subscription to streaming video of the match. Or some kind of pay-per-view with a certain window of time to use it.

I cannot stand to purchase DVDs because it adds more stuff that I have to keep up with.

I would however spend a lot more if I could purchase these things on demand and watch them whenever I want to.

And I believe that a lot of people are getting to be like me, they spend a lot of time in front of their computers and want instant access to their entertainment. Whoever gets out in front of this on the web will probably see some benefit in increased revenue. AND it's more efficient and enviromentally friendly :-)

I wish Accustats would do that with there matches, pay for a subscription and watch all there archived stuff, that would something else.It would be cool if you buy the matches that are streamed and are able to download it from the site,in either FLV,MP4,WMV,and MOV form. :)

We as you know Lenny are trying to do the best we can and learn and grow as we go. I agree with JB and it may happen yet, I wil be working on all kinds of angles to make what you are looking for happen but it seems that PPV does ok not well. But hey if it is east to do then wewill do it. I did get an email from a company in Europe who want to put the pool schools on PPV. I'm not sure how well that will work but I am open to anything that brings more people in for pool anywhere in the world.

Correction, Fast Lenny had the first option to do ewhatever he thinks will work for all concerned. Lenny does a great job with the equiptment he has and he along with Carlos (back2dgood1) Right now have all rights to any Pool school, challenge match or exhibition that we promote. If they can't do it or don't want to then we will look elsewhere. I am VERY big on loyalty and these guys have been behind me since the start therefore, whatever they think works is what worls for Eclipse Media Group and Eclipse Pool.

Thanks

All great points sir. It would lower the production costs as well. Win, win for everyone in my opinion.

Well perhaps I can get with Mark and Carlos and rip the dvd to a FLV file and get it up so people who buy it could download it their computer, sounds like an idea.

To be honest PPV isnt the way to go,not enough people are buying it,the way to go is to get sponsors behind the stream and offer it to the fans at no cost. The sponsors get a ton of online exposure and the fans get a great show, the equipment and other cost are paid for by the sponsors. We can talk more about it Mark and also with Carlos,3 heads are better then one! :D

My suggestion is the following:

If you are willing to put in the time to edit in "commercials" then you can sell the commercial spots and offer that stream for "free".

Then you can also offer a commerical free version for those who wish to pay for it.

I'd probably get both. :-)

There are so many possibilities here. At last year's Women's World Championships I took video of several matches and put them up online rack by rack at youtube. Look for Kelly Fisher on YouTube and you can find them. Those videos have collectively over 20,000 views which isn't much by YouTube standards but it's twenty thousand more views on the FURY CUES logo and company sponsors that I overlaid onto the videos than I would have had otherwise. And it lives in perpetuity as the videos are always new to the new people who go to YouTube for the first time looking for pool videos.

Preserving this stuff online is a GREAT way for advertisers to because if something is popular then it's going to be viewed tens of thousands of times. And if it goes viral then it could be millions of times.

I will be the first to bid on a commercial sponsorship spot for the Efren vs. Scott match if it's offered onine as I described above. I bid $500 for 30 seconds of advertsing space for Fury Cues. Feel free to outbid me.
