Effren was giving Scott 10-7, 9-7 for 500 a set. Efren won two sets and they started playing 200 a game I heard 10-7. Just saw Efren win a game. Not sure how many games up he is.

You lucky ducks! You must be having the time of your life! :)

Thanks so much for the updates. Keep 'em coming. :p

Screw the caps key on the keyboard. You know EXACTLY what to report for us unfortunate ones back home! ;)

Is there a story about Jay that I missed? :D

Scott is known to play one pocket very offensively, but against Efren he probably went 50 innings with out getting any inkling of a shot, and probably got out of stroke. Even if Scott is in dead punch, I think Efren is still the favorite.

frostbite

i watched this live all the way through and efren's game is not only on the table, his intimidation rattles people and brings the dog out... just ask scott frost... I just got done watching frost play joyner and he was a totally different man.... i know some people will say that efren leaves people in tougher spots, etc. and i agree.. but frosty flat dogged some balls he would normally fire in at 100mph...

efren is from a different planet. any body else jumping up to play efren?

Yes I am. I play speed pool. I am not at Derby city now.If I can retain/maintain my current physical health I will be there in louisville next year.I am old, feeble and legally blind in one eye.I will spot Effren and I will give Effren 1 second on the shot clock.I will have 4 seconds and Effren will have 5 seconds under WPBA rules.Race to 4 alternate breaks .If Effren does not want to wait for a year to take my money he can come any time to my place and challenge me.I live in Albuquerque,NM and I play in corner Pocket on table # 15.

This is one pocket right? So what happens if you go past the shot clock? You owe a ball? What happens if you have to get the mechanical bridge out and place it over some balls? Its impossible to pull it out and place it in under four seconds, and shoot. And what about all of the object balls that are going to be accidentally moved by either player's hand? You know speed one pocket needs alot of rules clarification, because sometimes just to set up your bridge hand on the shot alone takes some time.

And how much are you going to want to play Efren for? You make it sound like you think you can bust him or something. Are you talking about playing him for big money, like twenty thousand or something?

I think you are full of it, and I'll tell you why. What you said doesn't make sense- You're old and feeble but you'll spot Efren 1 second on the shot clock? Obviously Efren hasn't played you speed one pocket before, but you announce that you are old and feeble but you will give Efren a spot, outta nowhere. That's the stupidest thing anyone has said on this forum in a LONG time. Congratulations.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that you desperately want some attention for your persona on this forum, you want people to think that you are some great player, you want to be respected by the whole forum for saying that you will spot Efren, and last but not least - that this game will never happen. It's just a pipe dream where you think that you can out move a player who plays one pocket like a master chess player, a chess player who will have thought of ten different shots to shoot before you can think of one. Sorry to burst your little fantasy world.

My guess is that by next year, your physical condition will not be up to the task (your excuse, in case anyone asks you about it). LOL thanks for the laugh.

I am not going to respond to you in the manner you responded to me.I do not dignify your comments but I am responding to your post to give additional information.
Yes,one pocket and not 9 ball.A penalty will be imposed for shot clock violation. No extra time will be given for the bridge.
I posted it in response to Mike in Iowa`s comment with admiration which was provocative.
I posted my address and will be waiting for the challenge.

Here's what I know. 10-7, 9-7 on Scott's
break. Race to 5 for a thousand.
Efren wins 1st set 5-3. Efren wins 2nd set
easier.
They start playing for $200 a game &
Scott gets about $400 of his money back.
I watched 1st set & then went to bed.
Rest of story is what I heard.
