FS 2004 Diveney Lots of Ivory one NEW Shaft

I apologize for posting photos of my "shit".......

I'll post it on cueauctions.com along with a pink Allison fisher glove and maybe that will get some attention

One more punch and I'm down for the count..............

Thanks for ALL,

it is a nice cue.you asked repeatedly for input and i was actually only trying to tell you how bad the market is right now.it is time to buy not sell.my buddy John Henessee uses one and likes it and he can play.

I agree. It's a buyers market right now, not a sellers market.
It's been that way for a while, although by now I'm sure you already know it.
I like Pat's cues, and he's a real nice guy to talk to, but it's hard to pull retail out right now. I'd sit on it for a bit and then check things out, but that's just me. Besides, I hate parting with good looking cues!
And there's enough guys on here that know what I'm talking about to give me hell at Hardtimes!
lol

My 2 cents

Really nice cue, but the market is not there right now. I sold an unplayed Diveney butterfly sneaky in January that had dual butterfly splicing (5 layers on opposite sides of the cue) for $550. It had no ivory, and only one shaft. but since then the market has dropped. Bought a few Diveney cues with single butterfly splices since that one sold for $200-250, and they were in very good shape 90%+.

Just the way the market is now. So if you do not want to sell at "market price", you should probably hold on to it, and sell later down the road.

I'd let my five year old beat the neighbors dog with it before I sold it for 250.00

Are Ivory Ferrules not 50-75 dollars? And Shafts 125x2 and then theres the Butt section of the playing instrument.

I appreciate all the input. I'll log off before I embarrass myself any worse than I already have.

You guys hit em straight soft and with ZERO loft!

Don't take it wrong

I believe yours is worth much more than the two I have purchased for the $200 range. But with the market as it is, my pick-ups were easy to sell at profit, since the starting cost was low, and Diveney sells his butterfly sneakies in the $400 range. I could sell at $300 and still pull a profit, and not break anybodies bank. All the while, the buyer got a nice custom, yet inexpensive cue.
Don't hit the dog, what did he do? just saying that your cue is nice, but since cash is at a premium, you might have a better chance in a trade to try something new in the same retail $$$ value.

just my 2 cents

Tulane I'm not trying to be a jerk (hopefully you dont percieve me to be), I suppose I'm just frustrated at this market like I mentioned before I'm okay in the cue.

i totally understand

No problem. I have been there too - I think it was this morning? Cues are not selling for what they are "worth" because of the economy, all of the available cues by competing cuemakers, and just too many deals to be had. So the profit margin on a higher cost cue is good, but it takes patience. A cue selling for $300 that makes me $100 profit will sell all day and quickly because it does not break the bank, if the cue is a good price at $300. A cue at $700 is a hard sell because with the deals around people can buy 2 cues for that or less, and still be able to sell them at a later date without losing money. Just the way things are going now. So I am buying as many $300 custom cues that I can get and afford at the time!!!!!

the market sucks.i am trying to sell almost all of my cues right now and it is rough.i have been buying for about 1-2 years and accumulated about 35 cues in the $400-$3000 range and i am kicking myself,b/c if i had waited until now to buy i would be stealing the cues.3-4 months ago literally every SW i looked at was $2400 in mint condition, now they are for sale for $2000 everywhere i look.some people still try to list them at $2500 or so,bu they will not sell.why would they.just hold onto it for about 4-6 months and it should bring a little more money, but i think $700 will still be a stretch.good luck with the sale it is a nice looking cue.

Ummm.. wait

I think I missed it. How much is the cue? Is it sold? Is it for sale?

I wouldnt sell it to emtguy for 2k

What a jerk, you guys please hit his rep for that one!

This is an beautiful cue and it's killing me to still see it for sale! I wish someone would buy it before I spend my rent money on it :( .
Good luck with the sale, someone will get a great deal whether they buy it for 600 or 700 it's well worth it IMHO.
