Okay, here it is...A little better than two months ago I was physically assaulted by my ex, that due to the economy and lack of work, at that time, I have been forced to share living space with. There was no argument...he was drunk, I walked through the door from pool and was attacked. The result was a concussion, compressed spine, and some nasty nasty bruises. He is no longer in the home, with a 5 yr Protection Order in place. My 14yo ex-stepdaughter has chosen to remain living with me. She is the one who placed the 911 call that night. I would be happy to provide a case# should anyone feel this is bogus.
Since that time, I am working, but woefully under-employed, maybe making on average $100 every 2 weeks, if I'm lucky. I am looking for additional work, but with school letting out soon and the kids looking for summer work, it's tough. I had apparently foolishly thought he was covering the utilities...but his payments have been sparse, and only on the power...and there is still monies owing. My bundled cable/internet/ and landline have $500 owing and will be shut off sometime next week if they receive no payment. If it were just me...I'd live in my car, but it's not just me...I have to make sure she is provided for. He has apparently decided that the alcohol is more important than his obligations at this point. So, the situation is dire...I won't see another paycheck for another week.
So....amidst much anguish...I am now forced to put my beloved Josey and JB case up for sale to raise funds to keep the utilities on.
So....here goes:
2010 BEM/Tulipwood Josey Wrapless FS from a commissioned Prather blank. The points are not perfectly even, but pretty close. Honestly, as good as this cue plays, it shouldn't be a factor. And this cue is every bit the player. The cue is about 18.75oz in weight. I have no way to get the exact weight at this time...but it's right about that. There are 3 shafts...the standard Josey shaft is 12.90mm, the Timeless Timber shaft w/phenolic ferrule is also 12.90mm, the other Timeless Timber shaft is 12.75mm w/ivory ferrule. All shafts are tipped with Jensen Milk Dud tips. All inlays are ivory, and the cue has a 3/4" thin-walled sleeved SS flat-faced joint with SS Radial pin. The green in the veneers is a forest green, not the drab that is showing in some of the pics. The cue has been my player, and has a small ding in the finish of the TT shaft with the phenolic ferrule...the result of someone trying to walk off with it a few months back and the short tug-o-war that ensued. Does not break the finish and I had to look to find it. I cannot find anything on the butt...so if something is there, it is so minor that it is not noticeable. I take good care of my equipment as anyone who has purchased cues from me in the past can attest. I will apologize in advance for the crappy pics...I have an old digital, and just taking out the cue to photograph was pretty emotional...this cue is very special to me. There is $500 in just the two TT shafts alone. Everything was checked on a lathe a month ago a deemed straight by a local (40 miles away) cuemaker. I am looking for $1550 shipped/insured USPS Express CONUS only, payable by USPS M/O...I don't do PayPal any longer. My rep for delivery and condition are solid...and I DO keep the lines of communication open.
JB Tough Love 2x5/3x4 Oiled Chocolate Brown Leather Case:
This case is a tank! I requested the blue interior, and the few extras. The bucking horse in the lid is a msg to me to 'kick a$$'...and is very cool. There is a chalk/jp holder in the upper pocket. The pics are courtesy of JB's website, and the case is as presented...no issues. I need to get $450 shipped/insured USPS Priority CONUS only, payable again via USPS M/O.
That's it. Please don't send low-ball offers. Just because I am in dire need does not mean I am going allow myself to be victimized any further than I already have. Please feel free to PM or email me at: onthehillagain@yahoo.com or call 360-856-0165. I leave for work in a few hours, and will do my best to answer all queries asap. Thanks for looking.
