I don't see anything wrong with the joint, what are you refering to?
But I would want to see the shafts and the nipples on the back of the shafts- to make sure the shafts are original BB.
BTW that is some beautiful birdseye maple!!!!!!!!!!!!

The stainless steel joint looks alot smaller in diameter than the ring and collar joint. Maybe an optical illusion but it does not look right.

Looks like a reflection to me.

that is because of the reflection on the top and bottom parts of the joint.

Thats what I thought. On my monitor the glare obscured about 1/8 " on a side.
