For Sale: 2009 Bob Runde. This cue is in excellent condition with minor play on both shafts. One shaft has a very small "taper" wobble when rolled, but will not affect play. The cue plays nice. Runde's workmanship is terrific, this cue is very elegant, without being "overthetop", like some Runde's I've seen. Asking$1,500 OBO. Price reduced to SOLD. This has got to be the lowest price I've seen for a Runde with this amount of work in it.
Specs:

  • Both shafts are 13mm, micarta ferrules. No dents/dings.

  • Weight is 18.8 ounces, with 18.5 inch balance point

  • Black Leather Wrap

  • Unusual 3/4 steel joint (most would call it a half joint). The pin is 3/8-10 thread, piloted. You did not read this incorrectly, it is an unusual joint configuration for Runde and produces a nice firm hit and feedback.

  • Cue has four ebony points into maple. 5 veneers for each point. The cue is very striking in person, particularly the veneer colors. Everything white is ivory with the exception of the butt cap and ferrules. The veneer boxes in the buttsleeve match the veneers in the points. Also has an ivory Hoppe like ring above the wrap, surrounded by silver rings.

Feel free to send pm's! I currently have limited computer access and can only check pm's once a day, please be patient. I'll respond as soon as I can. I've had a few trade offers, but about the only cues that I might be interested in trading for up or down would be perhaps....Gilbert, Lambros, Southwest, Scruggs, Joss West, Nitti, Downey, Brick. You can always make a suggestion though. Thanks.

Thanks Doug.

really nice Runde at a super price.

Thanks for the comment Tim! As you probably guessed, I got this cue from Barry, the big Runde collector. It was one of my favorite of all his Rundes, both in hit and looks.

Regards.

Nice Runde!
Even Timi thinks they are starting to look like his stuff! Now that is one compliment!
Long time.

ditto.... Runde's are great cues and are only going up in value.
Great looking cue.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm amazed there is not more interest. He's a fantastic cuemaker and there are not that many out there...+ his cuemaking output is winding down.

Unless it's market sold it is still available. You will not find a nicer Runde with this much work for less.

Bump....

Is anybody out there?

Doug,

I had no idea you were selling this cue.
I'll holler at you before the weekend is done.

FWIW, this is one of the nicest looking Runde cues I've seen (heck, it's nice for ANYones work) and it hits quiet, solid and accurate.
The next owner will be a happy camper, I'm sure, as this is a gem.

This cue is out of my price range for a 2nd cue or I'd gobble up this deal...
