I'm looking for a "playable" custom rather than one that has big collectible value--I know you can have it both ways, but probably not for under 500$. I bid on a DP cue on ebay in the past (didn't win), but I currently have no interests due to complaints about his customer service and finish problems. There's too may other cue makers in my price range who seem to go overboard to stand behind their product.
That said, the cue looks pretty good from your pics. Looks like a nice addition to your collection..
Nola, honestly, for the price that you are able to pick up a Dale Perry cue, I think you would be very satisfied. I know there have been some issues of customer service complaints, but really have no idea as to how wide spread they are. Just don't buy into the hype that the cue has a TRUE market value of $1799, when the true value is $300. I honestly feel that you will get a lot of cue for your $300, but you will NOT get a 1 of 1, $1800 cue. NOBODY discounts merchandise 85%.
