Here is a relatively high-end cue from Corry Barnhart. Cory's cues are nothing short of fantastic, with a fanatical attention to detail. All of his cues are super players, also. You can ask anyone who has had an opportunity to play with one of his cues. This cue has it all...5 points, 4 flame veneers, ivory speartips, fancy silver ringwork consisting of 220 individually inlaid pieces of silver, leather wrap, and ivory notched diamonds.

Cue is new...one shaft has been test-hit only.

Specifications:

- Butt: 14.8 ounces
- Shaft 1: 4.2 ounces, 12.9mm, Aegis ferrule, Everest tip
- Shaft 2: 4.2 ounces, 12.9mm, Aegis ferrule, Everest tip
- Stainless steel pin, wood to wood joint with stainless steel sleeve
- Black phenolic joint collars with inlaid silver dot ringwork
- Beautiful curly maple forearm
- Five ebony points, dead even. Each point has a fancy ebony speartip inlaid with elephant ivory
- Four flame colored veneers, yellow, orange, red, black
- Fancy hand-inlaid silver ringwork at C/D/E
- The silver ringwork in all 5 positions consits of 220 individual, hand-inlaid pieces of real silver
- Beautifully executed black lizard print, leather wrap
- Solid ebony butt sleeve with five very sharp pointed, notched ivory diamonds, separated by small ivory diamonds
- Black phenolic butt cap with "Barnhart" signature

Fancy Barnhart

Joe,

This cue looks very similar to the one Cory is building for me, due next month. Mine will have ivory windows in the butt. If not for that, this one would be on the way to my display cabinet. This will probably be sold by tomorrow. I can't say enough about Cory's cue quality and playability. Hope not too many find out. I like the affordable prices. Thanks for showing this one off.

Holy Bleep Bleep!!!!!

Fill in your own expletives of amazement above for this cue. Joe, I can't beleive this one doesn't go in your personal collection. Most stunning new cue I have seen to date. You have unbelieveable will power not to keep this cue. On behalf of myself, and I am sure every one on here, thank you, thank you thank you for letting cues like these go on the market. Where would all of us cue nuts be without you. Keep up the amazing work.

Thanks, Chris. Actually, it may very well go into my own collection. I picked up 2 brand new Cory Barnhart cues today. This one and a sweet John Davis blank wrapless full splice conversion. Since I play with a wrapless cue, that one is my first choice to keep, but I have not totally made up my mind which cue I will keep. The flame veneer cue is amazing, in person.

Joe

Here is the Davis blank.....highly grained goncola alves, solid Ivory joint and Hoppe ring, 80 silver dot inlays.
It is NFS for the time being.

Thanks...it is REAL sweet. Both cues are super examples of Cory's work.

Great CueMaker

I have one of Cory's high end cues and the workmanship is about as good as it gets. His attention to detail is amazing. Please see pics of the butt sleeve and veneers. This cue must have 500 silver inlays, but I never counted them.

Thanks for the props, guys. DJ, that is another awesome cue by Cory. You just have to pay attention to see the dynamite work that he does, or just stop by his booth at Super Billiards Expo and look at the quality of his work.

I am very lucky to be so close to him...we are about 20 minutes from each other. I see almost every cue that he builds. What has been shown on AZB is very, very minor when compared to some of the stuff he is putting out.....really awesome work!!

I'd have to agree it's the 2nd fanciest Barnhart I've ever seen.....................................................................
BECAUSE I'VE GOT THE NO. 1 FANCIEST!!! (I've ever seen!!) And I love it!! Get'em while you can guys 'cause Cory is for real, and his cues are the $*it!!! His ringwork being extremely intricate, very original, yet not so far out there to throw off the traditionalists. The short uncapped ivory ferrules were a very pleasant surprise for me too.

Sweet, sweet cue, Dave. I was over at Cory's several times during the construction of your cue. What a beauty!! I think Cory aged about 5 years during the construction, making sure all the points were perfect, etc. Folks who have not seen the close-up detain and perfection in his work are really missing out.

Joe,
I'm so impressed with this cue, that one of these days, I'd love to give him a call or mail just to let him know personally how happy I am with my cue, and to thank him myself. From the looks of the work that went into my cue, I'm positive that this is one of those that he'll always remember making, and I know that if it were something that I had made myself, not only would I remember making it, it would probably always hold a bit of a special place in my heart. I may be assuming, but from what I have heard about Cory, he's likely the kind of guy that would always be happy to know where his "kids" are, who's using them, and "what they're up to these days. Joe, the next time you see Cory, please convey my gratitude and let him know that I'm convinced I own a piece of work that truly has it's own soul.

Dave,
You are dead-on in your assessment of Cory. He would love to hear from you, I am sure. He is one of the finest people that you could meet, and he happens to build a pretty good cue.

People often don't really think about the craftsmanship in a cue. People can take a look at yours. Not only are all the 20-30 points perfect, take a close look at your notched diamonds. They are not simple notched ivory, they are ivory inlaid with ebony, then inlaid again with ivory....3 detailed inlays in each. Cory said he will probably go blind from all the close-up work he does.. it is like a jeweler.
