Here is a full splice (or fancy sneaky) from Tim Scruggs. This cue is immaculate. The only flaw I can find on it is a very light bump right on the bottom of the butt cap by the rubber bumper. It is a great player, and is priced very fairly, IMO. The points are pretty much dead-nuts even, and the old-school white with green specks wrap just finishes it off perfectly. Everything is dead straight.

Specifications:

-Butt: 15.0 ounces
-Shaft: 4.0 ounces, 13mm, LBM, Everest tip
-5/16x14 piloted white micarta joint
-Solid black phenolic joint collars
-Straight grain maple forearm
-Four razor sharp, even, bacote points
-White with green specks irish linen wrap
-Solid bacote butt sleeve...very nice grain structure
-Thin veneer rings above the butt cap
-Black phenolic butt cap with the "TS" logo

SOLD!! Thanks!

Joe

Learn something new on here everyday. I did not know Tim Scruggs built full splice cues. The cue is priced low if a cuemaker of his status made it from scratch. It will sell fast

Full splice refers to the method of construction of the butt, and the fact that it continues as one piece beneath the wrap.

I don't really know if Tim built the blank or not, but I doubt it. If he had built the blank from scratch, it would probably be closer to $2.0-2.5k.

What I can say is that it is a premium blank, whoever it was from. The points are dead-even and razor sharp.

Can't believe that this is still here, wish my wife thought I needed as much as I do. LOL. Good luck, sure it won't be here much longer.

I had one like this a few years ago...minus the micarta joint.

Good Lawd, did it play nice!!!

Once again, Joe...you come through with great toys and rock bottom dollar pricetags.

I'm sure it'll on its way to a new owner in short order.

Thanks for your answer Bama. I don't know much about construction, but enjoy learning
