Wow, that forearm is beautiful. Good luck on the sell. Cant see this cue on the market very long.

Martin,
that is a stunning looking cue Kent made. Excellent wood combination. Kent Davis cue hit very solid and very good balance.

Is the laminated forearm a standard feature on Kent Davis cues or is this a special cue? The cue looks great......

James

James, thanks. The radially laminated forearm is standard feature on Kent Davis cues with the exception of ebony nose cues which are often simply cored. The core of the laminated forearm is either purpleheart, ipe, or mangaris. Kent's cues are never weak and his quality of build is high. He's able to use many unique woods and burls with his methods.

Sorry. Not really a buyer. But I just wanted to know more about Black Ash Burl. What is it? Maybe i should try the cuemakers forum. Looks fantastic!

It basically means if you buy the cue and receive it, you can send it back for a refund less shipping if you don't like it when it arrives. No problem dry hitting a few balls or possibly with some tan chalk. Just can't have someone turn a new cue into a used cue or gink it up and want to return it.

awsome cue excuse me for asking but what is buyer approved upon ariv?
thanks

Gorgeous cue. Just curious why Kent radially laminates the forearm, but not the sleeve.

Good luck with the sale.

Sometimes he does. Buttsleeve doesn't need strngth and sometimes the figure is super-duper killer on a single piece like it is here so there would be no real advantage in making it a lamination. He does it when it is critical to keeping the look if the cue consistent front to back. Besides how the cue looks and the preciseness of the pointwork, Kent Davis cues are super solid players. Kent is very fussy about having excellent shaft pairs on his cues.
