For Sale: This is the big burl I had for sale. It is now all cut into squares and inlay slabs. The close up of the slabs will show you what the squares look like as I did not take any close ups of them. Where noted pricing and scaling have been adjusted for defects and/or figure (or lack of). Here first are the inlay slabs. They are 3" wide and .170" thick and vary in lengths.
#1: $17.00
#2: $19.00
#3: $20.00
#4: $20.00
#5: $20.00
#6: $25.00
#7: $28.00
#8: $32.00 SOLD

Nice-looking BE figure in that amboyna.
Could you give a reference length for the shortest and longest pieces or something? Hard to tell by the photos.

Here are the pics of the first 8 squares. They run 1.450-65" x 1.530" to 1.500" x 1.530". All lengths are random. Once again pricing/scaling is adjusted for defects and/or figure (or lack of it). In the first three pieces there is lots of usable material that is not charged for as linear cost and the pricing is adjusted to reflect the changing figure throughout the piece.
#1: 11.5" -----$28.75
#2: 10.5" -----$26.25
#3: 11.0" -----$27.50
#4: 8.0" -----$28.00
#5: 9.0" ----- $22.50
#6: 10.00" -----$30.00 SOLD
#7: 12.0" -----$42.00 SOLD
#8: 12.0" -----$42.00

Here are pics of pieces 9 - 16. Same applies as above. Remember, these are kiln dried and at the highest cost of $3.50 per inch are lower in cost than others are selling air dried burl for.

#10: 14.0" -----$35.00 SOLD
#11: 13.0" -----$45.50 SOLD
#12: 14.0" -----$49.00 SOLD
#13: 16.5" -----$57.75 SOLD
#14: 11.5" -----$34.50 SOLD
#15: 16.0" -----$56.00 SOLD
#16: 16.5" -----$57.75 SOLD

Sorry, overall lengths of slabs run from a low of 8" to a high of 18". This is including usable sap. Shipping is not included. I will stretchwrap these for shipping so overall weight will not be bad. Please call if you have questions. 509-628-8504

I will take sticks #6, 13 & 16, and inlay slab #8.

Have these already been stabilized?

As long as my wife doesn't keep an eye on me, and all the $$$ I spend on this stuff, I'm ok. :D I have a small fortune invested in . . . wood. :o

I got both my pcs. this morning and they are beautiful. The color and figure is out of this world, very nice, Thanks Bob............Jim:thumbup::thumbup:

Although it makes little difference in the long run, are you sure that this burl is Amboyna? It looks more like Thuya than Amboyna. The coloring is off a little but the monitor can do that. Like I said though, it makes little difference as it is still great looking burl.

Actually, it looks very little like thula burl. Thula has longer fibers and more open space and does not have a white sap. As for the color, it may or may not be a 100% true reproduction of the color due to your monitor, but also Amboyna burl comes in more than one color unlike Thula. Thank you for your concern about my ability to identify it though.
