Not to be an a-hole or anything, but your pix do not show the real beauty of the wood and ringwork in this cue...neither does mine, actually, but I think they show a little better detail and color. This is a gorgeous cue, in person.

That sure is a beauty. The rosewood is so dark it almost looks like Brazilian.
Both types my favorite playing woods. Does the cue have a weight bolt in it?
