I have a 2006 Southwest with 3 veneers (Blue, Black, Natural). Birdseye Maple points into a macassar ebony nose. Comes with (2) 12.75mm shafts. The cue weight is 19.4 oz with the butt at 15.90 oz and each shaft weighing 3.50 oz each. Each shaft has light play and rolls straight. Cue rolls straight with shafts attached. Cue has a small ding on the BEM section of the butt, but you only see it when held up near the light and run your finger over it. Very small... I recently acquired this cue from GMAC on AZBilliards but I need to sell this cue because we just got a house and need the extra cash... I am asking for $2200 OBO...Will ship the cue overnight delivery with insurance...

Cue is still available, have had a few offers but still waiting a couple more days before I release the stick to the highest bidder...

That´s a great colour combination with that blue in it.
But is there a reason for the different coloured ringveneers in the shafts ?
One time it is maple - blue, and one time it is blue - maple.
I saw that on some cues in the last couple of months, but never got an explanation why it is like that.
Hopefuly you are able to tell me why !?

They look symetrical to me. From the outside in to the stitch ring, they are black/blue/maple on each side.

Hi Scott,

look on the first picture, there you will see the difference.
shaft - butt - shaft is the picture.
Look on all six type of veneer rings from the inside to the outside.
On the left shaft the blue and maple is one time in the other direction !

You catched it ?

I am happy you got it, but can somebody tell me why it is done that way.
Because i saw that before in other cues, too.
There was a TAD for sale here and it was the same.
It is now in the gallery to see.
I think it´s the sixth (Impact Blue) post in this one :

Look at the veneers in the points, and then in the butt !!
It is changed from the inside to the outside, why !?

Just guessing.... So you can identify which shaft you want to play with?

Wow, I never noticed this before. I just pulled out the shafts to see if they are really like that, and they are... Thanks for bringing this up to me, you do have great eyes :) ... Now as to why it is like this??? I do not have an answer for you... The only person who might know about this is Laurie Franklin... :D

Bump for a very nice looking South West. I have almost the same cue but with red veneers and five rings. I like the blue much better. Sorry that you have to sell but good luck!
