FS: Sugartree

Sugartree Prices

I bought a Sugartree about 7-8 months ago from a TX seller here at AZ. The cue is a basic Predator sneaky: Rosewood and maple combo on the stick. Check your local league players if you don't know this cue.

The shaft on the Sugartree is the deal, as you must know... setup just hits great!

How much? I challenge anyone to put a price on a great hitting cue. I contend it can't be done. I only own one of Eric's cues and have never met anyone that knows him. I only comment on this cue because in general, it plays jam up.

Sugartree is curently putting out a cue with old growth shaftwood and some unique butts. To my fellow AZ members, this cue tends to be in very high demand. Balance is nice and I estimate the shaft to have a basic pro taper. I have not measured the dimensions of the cue but you can definitely draw your rock with absolutely no problem. Great overall hit in general.

The brass pin is configured close to SW, but the feedback is a little softer for all on the forum that want to know how the cue HITS. Buy one. It's worth it! BTW I have no affiliation with this product. Just like it.

So the seller here can raise his price higher?:D
I feel bad for the first person to have made the offer.

Von: thanks for your tips.

This piece is one hell of a hitter and if you're a sucker for hard hitting cues, I assure you will not go wrong with this cue.

highest offer at 850USD, closing the deal latest by friday.

Igeuss my "first BID of 150./shipping" didnt go well ..........
This isnt an AUCTION site and you see what happensshould have priced it to begin with and then you wouldnt be trolling....................

I agree, you wanted 750, someone offered you 750 (or more), so it's sold to him/her. Not that difficult really.

Did you happen to see the Gus on ebay is up to $25k.. That's a really nice cue. Now, I'm a very good player and have played with many cues including three Gus Szams and two of Barrys and I don't care there is no cue in the world that plays worth $5k, $10k, or even $25k.. I can play just as well with a Schon as I can with a Gus. All your really paying for is the name. Cues really blow my mind at times on how much they sell for. Making a great cue is not easy but at the same time it's not brain surgery either. The cue makers say your paying for their time to make a cue. In my opinion most way overcharge for their time. But hey, What do I know.

I DIDNT LIKE THE ONE ON EBAY, I'M A A- PLAYER AND HAVE BEEN FOR YEARS AND AM EXRTREMELY SENSITIVE TO EQUIPMENT-THOUGH THE LONGER I PLAY THE LESS SENSITIVE I am, having said that a 4-5K 4pt Gus is worth the extra $$$, sure i have a 300 joss east and play good with it, but not as good as a gus. some cues a schon for example i never could get used too, but yes your right a 40,000 cue isnt going to make a person paly better, i have played with cues like that or more and it dosent matter, I used a plain jane tad for ever and behind a barry or gus its the nuts with most SW's comming in a close 3rd, i have one sw that plays as good as anycue i've ever owned but its too fancy to take out to a poolroom-ivory points/ebony and it hits soft-contraty to any logic. give me a 4 pt gus and i'm happy unless i have to travel,

i'm in germany right now with a Richard Black-it plays good but the shaft wood is terrible and soft-very soft, i never get dings in a shaft and i'm working on dings everyday on the cue-both shafts- i dont use the shaft to move balls etc, they are just poppping up, i'm done now sorry for the book i just wrote.

my initial buy it now price was at 750usd, but a handful have already matched that. to be fair to everybody, first to offer me something better will get the cue!

looking for a fast deal here..

Here's a problem. I listed a Predator BK cue 2 months ago for $110 shipped. I had 20 messages all saying they wanted it. I wrote on the thread and asked what I should do. Everyone said I got my asking price and should take it from the first person in line. That would be the right thing to do. I said I was thinking of letting everyone make an offer instead because of so many messages on wanting it and I got drilled some what. All saying that would be wrong to do and the respectable thing to do is take the first person who met my asking price. I was offered as much as $160 but refused it and sold it for my asking price of $110 to the first person in line. Same situation here. He asked for $750 and someone matched his price to buy. You should do the right thing and sell to the first person who met your price. And yes there are time stamps on the messages so you do know who the first person was. :)

Dave,

I'm glad you posted here. Double Dave is the guy who got the Predator BK cue from me. You remember what happened don't you Dave? You were the first to offer me the $110 and then I got a ton more all saying they wanted it. Then I got higher offers. You remember what everyone said right? So I passed the higher offers and sold it to you for the price I had set. This is the same situation.

Joey,

I said it once before but I'll say it again.. :D :D I just love your avatar picture.. :D :D :p

I pm'd I'd give the $750 if he had references and if the cue is in the states. He never mentioned where the cue is/where he is and gave as references the guy that was involved in the SW debacle w/Hal. Being out of country made me doubt. Now that he has backed out of his sale offer it's for SURE that I'm out. Sellers actions have put his integrity in doubt and integrity is what it's all about when the money is being sent so far away.

no reserve.

first to offer $750 gets the cue.

highest offer currently at $600.

Have a little honor about you. If you were trolling and just wanted offers, should have said something to the effect of....will be sold to highest bidder over X by midnight on MM/DD.

exactly

1st post: "first to offer $750 gets the cue."

2nd post: "my initial buy it now price was at 750usd, but a handful have already matched that. to be fair to everybody, first to offer me something better will get the cue!"

3rd post: "i don't go back on my word but in circumstances like that i guess it'll be good to be fair to all potential buyers."

Latest post: "highest offer at 850USD, closing the deal latest by friday."

Interesting!

buy it now?

This is what I was getting out with my first post on this thread? where do buy it now's and bids come in here? I thought the same, you post a cue and a price, first one to take it at the price gets it, not someone offered me more a few minutes later. The funny thing is you see a lot of people downing ebay on here and yet there are more cases of the same thing starting taking place here with cue bidding.
