I have a very nice Southwest style 6 pointer from Mike Stacey. The cue plays really nice with the "ping" sound when you strike the cue ball. It is ebony forearm with 6 hi/low birdseye points and veneers. The butt sleeve is SW style ebony/birdseye. The joint collars and butt cap are natural linen phenolic, and it has a nice textured black leather wrap. Cue is in very good condition with some shaft bluing and a couple of minor bruises in the finish area of the shafts.

Specifications:

-Butt: 15.0 ounces
-Shaft 1: 3.9 ounces, 13mm, LBM
-Shaft 2: 3.7 ounces, 13.1mm, LBM
-3/8x11 brass pin, flatfaced joint
-Natural linen phenolic collars with SW style ringwork in green/maple stitch
-Soild ebony forearm
-Six birdseye points (3 hi/3 low), each with 2 veneers, black/maple
-Solid black, textured leather wrap
-Birdseye butt sleeve with black ebony SW split butt separated by natural linen phenolic ring
-Natural linen phenolic butt cap with SW style ring in green/maple
-Signed "M.Stacey, 1/2003" in on of the points

SOLD, pending receipt of payment...thanks!!

Absolutely beautiful Stacey cue Joe! Wish I could take it off your hands. Good Luck!

Joe, I believe you had this cue once before...I definately remember it. This is one of the cues that just screams MONSTER PLAYER to me. And a 6pt veneered cue with 2 shafts, and leather wrap...at that price? When I see a great deal I say so...and I'm saying so now. Someone will be extremely thrilled. If I wasn't a cuemaker...this is a deal I wouldn't pass up.

Thanks Kevin. You have a good memory. I did have this cue before and I just took it back in trade last week on a higher end cue.

I took this cue with me to Valley Forge. When I took the cue out of the bag, Mike Stacey saw the cue and came over to where we were to have a closer look at it (I had never met Mike before that). He said he thought that he recognized the cue as one of his from across the hall. He said that this cue has a slightly different taper than some of his newer cues, giving this cue a stiffer hit that is more similar to the hit of a Southwest.

It is truly a great playing cue. I love the resonant sound that it makes when you strike the cue ball. I may wind up holding onto it and knocking some balls around with it myself.

damn that is one fine cue. I have never owned a custom cue, but I sure like this one, and the price seems quite good. good luck with your sale.

Thanks Sniper. It is a great cue and a super value buy for someone.

Joe -

Mike makes a fine cue. I am a former Hoosier and have been to Mike's shop once myself.

Like most cuemakers, he was busy but took the time to talk a bit about cues.

Well respected in the Indiana region, but seldom see them much further out.

Good luck, my friend,

Ken

Yes, the weight can be taken down to 18-18.5 ounces. If you (or anyone else) wants the cue, let me know the weight desired and I will get it as close as possible to that.

Another nice cue for my collection

I'm looking forward to playing with this cue on the J.Pechauer Southeast Tour & others.

Thank you,

Michael
