full cue jumping

There are clips of earl jumping back in like 1982 and clips of him jumping just last year, and he's gone through some cues since then.
So, I'm thinking this is a case of "it's the indian not the arrow".
If you're looking to optimize a cue for jumping, I figure a harder tip is better, lighter is better, and balance as far forward as possible is better.

The custom cue he shot with last year and I guess still now is very light, about 17 OZ. He swears by Elkmaster tips.
The BK2 does work very well for a jump I've found too, even though it's specifically made for breaking. If you're jumping with a full length cue, the most important characteristics for jumping I find are a very hard tip and a very stiff shaft.
The Predator Air jump cue jumps even better.
No offence buddy, but with posts like this, you're gonna start up a s**t storm with JB Cases vs. the other "Non-Jump Cue" committee. Just go to this LINK, go to the 3rd page, and then look at JB Cases post and it pretty much sums up how to jump with a full cue.

Last I heard, Earl was using a custom Mike Gulyassy cue with a huge pro taper, almost to the joint. Not sure about the tip, but probably an elkmaster.
That's the same one I saw. The real long Pro Taper, tennis racket wrap, about 17 ounce, Elkmaster tip.
