My wife kept bugging me to go to a nail salon with her for me to get a man’s mani-pedi. “Oh, you’d like it!” I steadfastly refused. Finally I told her I would, if she rode a hot lap at Sebring with me in my Miata track car. I never did get that mani-pedi.
The wife of an F1 driver must know what can or is even likely to happen every time he is behind the wheel.
The need for speed never goes away. And you can see from his posture that he's not pushing hard at all.

Tru dat but for the uninitiated it’s WAY more severe than imagined, even at 8/10ths. When i took passengers who had never been on a track before I’d warn them that they will be very surprised at how late i would be braking. “When you think i should be on the brakes I won’t be. When I’m way past that point and you’re sure I’m crazy, i STILL won’t be braking. Don’t worry, i will be leaving PLENTY in reserve; I’m won’t be trying to kill us both.”
