There's a 55 mph two lane per direction road near me that has horrible drainage and I've noticed a little gliding lately.
I had an incident a few years ago where my car slid about 6 ft toward the median on that road and I'm not taking any more damn chances!
I thought the old ones looked good enough that I wasn't paying$10 each to let the shop 'dispose' of them. The are craigslist bound

I don't live in a snowy area so I don't really have any idea how well all season high performance tires should work in the snow. Good idea staying safe. It's a little tough spending $800 and getting about half the mileage. I agree, those tires have plenty of life outside of winter. What size are they?
