Only one thing to say about that!

I lived in West Virginia and had the opportunity to go into a coal mine there. Wow, them boys earn their money. The tour was done by a retired mine working and he stated the song was pretty accurate about working in mines in the 20th century.

I recommend if anyone can take a tour do it.

i'm saddened for the economic downturn in the coaolfields but i am so happy nobody will ever get a horrible phonecall about THEIR miner that won't be coming home healthy or at all.
