I'm always tempted to try this when I see those signs, especially is icy weather.
Another favorite of mine are the warning signs which say 'Watch for Rocks'. I'm a geologist, so I always tell my wife, 'don't worry, I'm a professional'.

Granted I have had a haircut in the kitchen for many years now and can't remember the last time I paid someone to cut / style my hair I'd be more than happy to go somewhere else after receiving the note no matter who wrote it !
