Funny pic/gif thread...

This is interesting because it's a true story. Dutch bike manufacturer VanMoof was experiencing a 25% damage rate on all shipments sent to the U.S. They were trying to figure out what to do about that, and someone suggested the package might be handled more carefully if it was a TV they were shipping. They commented that Americans loved their TV.

Boom! The company thought that was a brilliant idea and decided to give it a try. The weight and packaging size of a TV was similar to what they were using to ship their bicycles. They put a picture of a TV on the box but still kept their bicycle symbol. Damage rates fell from 25% to 5%.

A- that is one crappy bike box. Many better options exist and are utilized by current manufacturers.

2) a destroyed in shopping bike might be worth more than the sold/ delivered one. Sell at discount/ deduct full price for damaged in transit.

But the innovation reminds me of a tale I heard once, a big toothpaste manufacturer had a contest for employees to see who could come up with an idea to sell more toothpaste.
A low-level employee suggested making the opening from which it is dispensed larger. They did that.. success.

That’s some funny funkin shit mother funker! My wife told me our dish soap now had 10% more bubbles. The dispenser opening was widened 10% so we would use more soap.
