Due to the strike, there was a “first half” and a “second half” to the season played. Division winners of each half advanced to the playoffs.

The Denkinger mistake was brutal. Even though I’m a Dodgers fan, I always liked those STL teams of the 80s. Well, not the “Ozzie Smith homerun” team, but the rest of them. LOLYeah we were the best all season and didn’t get into the playoffs. Not as bad as Don Denkinger but pretty bad.
