Funny pic/gif thread...

why dont you or should not just over loop every loop?
You can however the current doesn't flow as well through the wire when it's coiled that way .
There also can be static within the cable when unplugged , yes I know that sounds crazy but a tech was adamant about it so I let it go at that .

For instance camera cables are of various lengths , the longer cables or runs can become a huge tangled mess if they're just coiled and not over undered .

For many year's " Tuffy " would request that I be his cable page every year when the PBR came to Billings , for close to 24 years he and I worked together behind the first 3 bucking chutes which is the #1 camera position .

During the opening of the bull riding Tuffy literally walked to the far end of the arena to get the required shots while I stayed back at the chutes with the main coil of cable . Yes I cheated and marked the camera cable after stretching it out and a bit further so we had plenty of wiggle room if needed .

This camera cable was 500' long and without over undering it , my job wouldn't of gone so smoothly and what appeared effortlessly ha ha .
We also would go out to the holding pens to get " footage " of the bounty bulls or a feature bull , no matter if it was nice and dry or muddy and wet on occasion even in blizzards . Then all that cable needed to be wiped off and clean no mud or green stuff on it ha ha

Now days Tuffy and his blushing bride stay close to home in Oklahoma and we keep in touch with one another to this day .
