thought I would put this out there, i never knew this?
Don't know if it will charge 2x faster but WiFi, Blutooth and other communication devices eat up power so shutting them all off will charge faster.
If you are not using WiFi you can also turn it off for better battery as in many devices it will be always searching for a connection using up power.
